You really couldn't make up the hypocrisy of this event, it's in Belem in Brazil and to improve transport links to the event the building of a four lane highway has taken place which involved a huge deforestation project in the area, with effects on the Amazon rainforest.

Just check out most of the MSM show them arriving in Belem on the Governments Private Plane. They arrived together and Starmer almost took a tumble down the steps.

They arrived in the official aircraft as used by politicians and Royal family…..but it’s still a jet.
But there’s little other option as a ship would take a week to get their.

It's not commercial either so it's private. No passport or baggage queues for them, or wearing all of their clothes to get around a baggage allowance.

Could they (and their entourage) not have took a commercial flight?, ......no hypocrisy on a grand scale.

Commercial flights would have been an alternative, TEAMS virtual meeting would have been an alternative - it's an absolute piss take and we'll end up poorer for it as Starmer will sign us up to some ridiculous scheme paid for by more green levies.

Is there a limit on the size of private jets? Actually just accentuates the hypocrisy of the 2 of them harping on about climate change and carbon footprints doesn't it? Starmer's carbon footprint must be astronomical as he's always away somewhere other than where he should be.

While the biggest producers of pollutants don’t give a toss about global warming, this is just window dressing.
