Ferguson has that shot in his locker but at Gainsborough the pitch runs approximately East to West and the sun is full on that goal. Speaking to two people who was there behind that goal they said the sun was a nuisance facing the away end all game. Surprisingly, apparently, neither goalie wore a cap. Maybe the snap shot was helped by the sun. It was awful luck though. Going solely on the highlights Trinity wanted it more and that was the difference, they simply got stuck in. Nowt pretty, nowt flash just honest endeavour, which we obviously lacked. Will it be different at the Vic, we'll see. Will we see the dawning of the Fev factor.

Poor pitch - the ball kept sticking in it. Only to be expected at that level, so no excuse.

Foreman looks to have made a difference when he got on - able to run and chase, unlike Johnson and Walker. Maybe Feaths will be brave enough to give youth a chance, like Sweeney used to when he was caretaker?

Couldn't see any sign of this Dickman bloke on the highlights - only Danny, Smith and Grayson walk to the Pools bench before the game kicks off. Wonder if there's a story there?
