Three centre halves possibly out.

That's what happens when you don't invest effectively and just plod along.

What is the "invest effectively" formula to prevent three centre halves getting injured???? asking for a friend.

Maybe it would have helped if SG knew his players, Parkes injured so he brings on Walker and moves Sheron to CB = 2 moves.
If he had brought Hunter on(who has played CB many times in the past) that would = 1 move.
Even Walker has played CB in the past.

Invest in a squad that isn't from the bargain basement and haven't been injured for months before signing. Saying to a friend. (kissonthecheek).

CB didn't look like it needed any more cover to be fair, hence sending the young un out on loan. Hunter and Walker have both played CB before so we have cover - in fact I'm sure even Fev has played there for us during his illustrious career with us.

At the risk of being shot down in the flames of hell, might I suggest that Simon Grayson is over-qualified for a managerial role at this lowly level where Neanderthal tactics are more likely to produce results than clever formations and tactical ploys? Just a thought.

The three centre halves were part of the best defence in the division before they were injured, so can hardly be classed as bargain basement and which of them came here having spent months on the treatment table, before signing.
If you are referring to what wages they are on as bargain basement, kindly show us the evidence.

Maybe so but If the manager doesn't know what his players capabilities are or how to use his substitutes to the best effect then where does that leave us.

No reason to shoot you down. You are certainly not the first person on the planet to categorise somebody as potentially over qualified.
We are all looking for answers to questions why this, why that and why the other. Suggestions are plentiful but no matter what path is taken there are no guarantees. We are at a level which is below the level to which we aspire and it is frustrating.
I wish I had the answers.

Can,t see us returning there soon.

lets face it that last relegation season was far worse than what we have seen since and thats not been great. totally pointless even getting there if the club cannot sustain itself at that level. no i,m not happy with non league football, but until there are big changes at the top thats the level we will have to get used to.

As i remember it was Walkers best position when he played CB.

I think we would be better player Walker centre back as like you say that was his best position, though I do wonder if Grayson is aware of this ? Leave Sheron in midfield where he is more effective.
