Hornchurch seem to have plenty of goals in them. If we dont score in the first 30 minutes Hornchurch will win.

Mickey Barron on Tees last night we just have to see this season out then re-set again which he thought we had done in the summer.

He also said I know it's only October but that's how he sees it and I totally agree with him as sad as it is.

Given the mess Wildys inherited I'd class staying up a job well done.

If the definition of stupidity is making the same mistake over and over again, Pools are in the corner wearing a dunce's cap.

For the last 5 seasons we've given a manager the summer to put together a squad and parted company with them all before the end of the year. Paul Hartley is the record holder - he got sacked in September. Lee Clark, the big fat Geordie bottler, resigned this September before he could be sacked. Darren Sarll and Simon Grayson both got the push in in October. John Askey got sacked at the end of December 2024. Some say he was unlucky, but the table doesn't lie and Pools were 17th at the time.

So yet again, we've got a new manager in trying to get a tune out of a bunch of players he had no say in recruiting. Brilliant

We're not the only club who do this, but we're probably in a minority of clubs that get a new manager bounce though. Every other club seems to get a positive reaction to a new manager but us............

Trouble is, owners seem to apply the rules of how their business is run to football…and no business is anything like football…..you pay your money and hope you’ve got a good un in charge and stand well back.

Do you think there is any credence whatsoever to this (now) fabled story of the gypsy's curse. Before I say the next bit I want to emphasise vehemently that I'm against the notion BUT should we consider moving away from the Vic. I suppose we need to know is the curse on the club or the ground.

Really? Simon Grayson's last 10 league results were 1 win, 5 draws, 4 losses. Nicky Featherstone's first 7 league results were 4 wins and 3 draws. Certainly felt like a bounce at the time.

She must have cursed Cardiff as well. We've never won in Taffy Central in 10 attempts. Including the play-off final

I wouldnt be surprised if the Halifax manager has enhanced the curse on the club AND Harris after we snatched him from them during the close season.

I’m thinking of the ‘travellers’ who were in the club car park.

If Gypsies had supernatural powers then they wouldn't be living like Gypsies in towns like Hartlepool. They'd be living the high life in Wynyard (or perhaps Los Angeles).

Hartlepool 3 Hornchurch 0.

A new dawn.

We ain't cursed.
Maybe Karma for all the re-election victorys.

Or are we just for the majority of our existence actually just not good enough.
IOR only temporary bucked the trend..

We had a little spell of not normality which has distorted our fans to be permanently pissed off nowadays.

Maybe an American comes along to create a fairy tale resurgence.

I used to look forward to Pools' games wit a certain amount of hope but now it has changed to trepidation and anxiety.

30 minutes and no goals. This normally means the opposition get stronger and will score one or two goals in the second half.

Pete Wild admitted that when he took the Fleetwood job, he soon knew he had made a big mistake.
I wonder how he feels about the job at Pools now!

Harris hits the post. How many times has he hit the post or bar at the Vic. Predict another Hornchuch goal within the next 20 minutes.

Anyone who saw game, did we deserve it or did we have a bit of luck for a change? Harrogate normally does a good summary. Are you about, mate?
