I realize the Bookies have to get punters interested but after two games? Bull.

they will most likely change after every game. betting is not my expert area but are the odds based on people putting a bet on. no bets odds drop and vice versa.

Our odds have only shortened very slightly, but we’ve become favourites because Carlisle’s odd have lengthened after 1 point from the first 2 games.

It’s Boreham Wood that I’m most worried about. Unless they end up accepting a bid for Abdulmalik, then they are just too good for this league. He’s like what Mancini would have become if his leg wasn’t attached by sellotape.

know they will not go away but i cannot stand them. just compare to how poor there attendances are compared even to aldershot who are just about surviving on the cheap. if we cannot go up getting 6 points off them to knacker up there chances comes second best. a club who has a fan who asked my lad who does he really support when he went there watching his team.

Personally I think whoever finishes about Southend will win the league.
Boreham Wood will sell Abdulmalik for mega-money in January and I think they will finish in the play-offs.
I reckon we will finish 3rd or 4th.

Exciting times ahead, Up the Pools

I'm with you on this one Ozzy, hopefully the bright start will continue but in my opinion making Pools title favourites at this stage is ludicrous. It would appear that Clark is thankfully attempting to keep the players and fans expectations in perspective by repeatedly using words such as 'room for improvement'. It's not as though we went out and stuck 4 or 5 past the opposition to date. I would suggest that 'work in progress' may be the phrase that Clark is looking for. Should we remain unbeaten after ten games with 25+ points on the board then it could well be time to get excited but let's how it goes until then. Small steps.

Indeed. Very early days. Yes we have won two games. Is it worth mentioning that Barrow lost at home to the mighty Hornchurch on Saturday? I am as keen as the next Poolie to see our team hammer all comers and walk this league but come on.

i on ly look to the next game ahead and no further than that. tick another game off with points on the board and i,m happy. as for a cup run i,d be happy just getting to the 1st round proper for once, put on a good show and thats it.

After being scarred by two particular games (away at Rushden in 2003, and home against Bristol Rovers in 2007), if we are top by the start of May, then I will start to believe we can win this thing…

These things mean nowt.
Pundits elevating the candidates most likely to succeed.
That’ll be the mix, but what comes out of it at this stage is irrelevant.
