Seems to club has changed its system in purchasing tickets on line from last season. Not as easy as it was but managed eventually. Big gripe though was there was no paper ticket option. Know i could ring the club up to ask them what i can do seeing i do not have a smart phone but more than likely they,ll speak in a language i will not understand. Any help on here would be welcome as long as you do not go on about apps and bloody google wallets as they mean nothing to me.

Have to qr code scan our phone's at turnstiles.

Good job he's savvy because I haven't got a clue and imagine other fans are in the same situation.


And now match day prices have gone up to £24

£22 if you buy in advance.

Maybe have someone updating site now. A few new posts just appeared including one on tickets with this news on a price freeze for the season.

Hartlepool United has introduced a new Supporter Loyalty Scheme and frozen advance bought Matchday Ticket prices for the 2026/27 season and ahead of the new campaign.

Following the decision to freeze Season Ticket prices earlier this year, supporters purchasing Matchday Tickets in advance will also benefit from unchanged prices across every category.

Adult tickets will remain £22, with Concession (Over 65), Armed Forces, Students and Young Adult (18-21) tickets £16, Under-18s £11 and Under-14s £6 when purchased in advance.

Though as mentioned that is just advanced! If I had read further it is £24 on the day or £18 concessions and £13 and £8 for youngsters.

I don’t care what anyone says these new systems deter the casual supporter…the days of the turn up pay on the gate which attracted the crowds are history…great for the clubs , but another barrier to maximising your casual attendance opportunities in the world where everyone supposedly has a smart phone….which I do, but lots haven’t.

the days of the customer being right is long gone in football. its all about there conveniance and not the fans. more or less they,d be happy if we all pre booked and there was no pay at the gate or fans making a last minute decision. what next, pre book a pint and your chips and get a slot when you can buy them. just the same for these clubs that decide to go cashless on everything. not everyone wants to pay that way an fans should have a choice. if our gates did drop to just over 1,000 the club would then do everything we wanted to get us back.

thats the point i am making. how can they scan something you do not posess. are the club going to provide me something free just to enable me to watch a game of non league football.

Why don’t they have a gate for cash only ?

got a feeling the vast majority on here will see the day when they,ll be asking why they cannot make card payments on the gate. lose or forget your phone your life will be on hold. who is to blame though. not the manufacturers but the sheep who cannot live without them. thing is it surprises me even more when you find the price people pay to sacrifice there freedom.

Not sure if I will be around for Barrow just yet but I just bought a ticket for tomorrow's friendly. The Pools site looks to be a bit more professional than previously, in the match ticket section anyway. The process is fairly simple, in fact a noose-free trained chimp could do it. It tried to sell me an £8 car park ticket which I managed to swerve but otherwise all was well.

In respect of car parking I saw that the RN museum is playing silly buggers with opening!/closing times again. This could represent a major issue should Pools fulfil the pre-season hoo-ha and attract another 2k on home attendances.

Ah, the good old days. When you turned up to massive queues depending on how many turnstile operators showed up for work. Then a trip to the bogs with blocked drains and piss a quarter of an inch deep all over the floor. You sure we were customers back then and not cattle?

I called in the club shop on Tuesday for a ticket for tomorrows game, I was waiting for them to print my ticket and they said, '' it just goes straight to your account'' to which I replied, I have no idea how to access 'my account' (didn't even know I had one), so , they printed a till receipt which has a QR code on it and they said just scan that at the turnstile. I suppose that's simple enough if you buy a ticket' in person, strange thing is though, Landon and Pools banging on about collecting cards etc and how it can become an obsessive hobby, what about those that like to collect their matchday (home or away) tickets, I'm not one of them but I know there are plenty who do, now they'll just have to keep their till receipts like you do if you have an accountant.

My brothers in law’s, who are Scunthorpe supporters, came up for the Boxing Day game and I got them paper tickets which they kept as a memento as well as getting a few bits from the club shop

it does look more professional but that should not be the main reason for it. the good old cheap looking version from previous seasons offered more options plus an insurance scheme you paid if you bought a ticket and could not use it. thought DEI was meant to be the thing nowadays. well it looks like fans like me are excluded from buying on line without extra work to do after purchase. more than likely the person who st it up has every electrical device known to man with the attitude of i can manage so why cannot you. i have met these twats before.

And don't forget you cudent have a shit in the ground unless you wanted to get arrested.

The good old days of massive queues, that'll be the last 4 or 5 seasons where there were never enough turnstiles open, or turning up at the ticket office or ticket kiosks and witnessing them process ticket sales at around the rate of 1 per 2 mins or so. Finding yourself in the queue in around 20th place at 2.30pm praying that by some miracle you might just get in for the ko.
Strangely if you bought a ticket at the main office you had to provide your post code and proof of concession but at the kiosk on the MH side you didn't?
Our ticketing arrangements for casual home or neutral supporters was worse than any I've seen for away supporters at other clubs.
There should be an easy to use cash purchase point on match days, surely in this day and age it would be easy enough to set up a straightforward card swiping entry system for credit or debit cards too.

yes, and all done at the entrance gate. even in the seated areas all you need is unreserved seating with stickers on the seats for season ticket holders. that would help the club also by getting some fans in early so they could pick there seat. its hard to imagine that those who set up ticket systems have been football fans even if thats a real broad church.

Maybe a debit card swipe at turnstiles won't acknowledge if you are on the database.

Think it was only introduced to stop Leeds and we'll supported away teams from getting in the home end.

A bit stupid for a division 5 game v25 away supporters like.

You don't have to be on a database to use shops n Pubs.

for security i can see why they have a data base at an all seater ground. you buy a ticket and more or less know where you are sitting. however with a good amounf of standing we have that goes out of the window unless they draw footprints where fans have to stand with your number on them.

Not for the first time when we went to my allocated seats, some one was sitting in them, the occupants were none too happy when asked to move.
At the Blackpool play off game we went to our allocated seats only to find them occupied, showed the them the tickets, they pointed out their seats were where they had built a temporary scaffolding for the cameras. they refused to move, not a steward in sight, we ended sitting on the concrete steps.

Print off the email making sure that the print out has the QR code on it. They can then scan the print out at the turnstile.

rung the ticket office up yesterday afternoon and they suggested that. told them it was not on my phone but my computer. seems a farce having to get it in the car and drive down town to a computer shop to print it out who also might charge for this service like i would. in the end i got the suggestion of bringng all my info to the club shop pre match so they can sort it out. felt a bloody nuisance and should not be made to feel that way after over 70 years of support. just hope there will be a good number like me so they can alter a system that was never broken anyway.

Rose Stoker said last week 2,300 season tickets have been sold. Was in the club shop yesterday afternoon to pick up my season ticket card - not a fan of having absolutely everything on my phone in case I lose it - and there was no queue.

Bearing in mind it's the holidays and some folk are away I reckon 4,500 - 5,000 will be a good turn out tomorrow, depending on how many Barrow bring.

Plus with it being Parade Day at the carninval, that might knock a few off as well

Holidays or Carnival won't effect the crowd.

there was a number of empty seats around me in the cyril knowles that belong to season ticket holders. obviously they are away as nobody misses the first home game of a season. if room is going to be that tight then they should be encouraged to inform the club they will be missing and the club re sell them to others.
