Just a mid term blip.
14 years of Tory government.
Etc etc
Good to see the renamed Monster Raving Lunatic Party (The Greens) not doing very well too.
Starmer was full of shit about Change, well it's coming Keir - first the removal van ready for Burnham, then it'll be back to bring Farage's furniture to No 10.

the funny thing about the greens is that they are doing better down south than up north. just shows that common sense ends once you get below the north midlands. what excuses will keir cars stomer be thinking up now. like all politicians he,ll find something good out of the bad.

But Reform said they'd cut Council Tax and they haven't.
Interesting that even in areas where they have control and said they would but didn't their support has grown. That'll be a difficult one for Jamie to spin!

Probably because the sitting tenants in the Civic Centre got too comfy and smug and events passed them by….just like all over the country.

There was actually a higher turn out than normal, in the last local elections there was a 25% turnout in the town, this time it was just over 30%. Obviously the other 70% can’t be bothered for some reason and are happy the way things are ?

Fret ye not, it's only a matter of time before Brash and a multitude of his fellow Labour MP's are erased from the English political map, whether they are replaced by Reform, LD's, Greenies and yes, even Tories the process is inevitable as the damage that Starmer and his useless cronies have already done will not be forgotten.

2 party politics smashed to pieces.
Interesting that the media are constantly telling us that most people want us to rejoin the EU yet the pro Brexit party have come from virtually nothing to winning so many seats.
Labour have fecked it up in record time from a huge majority to being despised by so many in 2 short years, wow.

The real kick in the teeth is that the biggest regret for Labour spokespersons seems to be that they're sorry for their Labour colleagues who are talented and hard working who've lost their seats not that they're quite obviously letting the country down and they're getting it totally wrong! Arrogant, ignorant tw*ts the lot of them.
A cabinet reshuffle and U Turns on Monday are not going to fix things although the focus seems to be on protecting Starmer rather than serving their constituents and the country. The next GE can't come soon enough, it'll be a generation at least before Labour recovers again.

Only used them once for a Hernia Operation.
But wasent Free

I paid a shit load of taxes into it.
I reckon they have done OK.

Would of been cheaper going private if I didn't have to pay the taxes.

People in retirement or just coming into it have timed it spot on.

Can't wait to stop paying taxes for this well n truly fucked up country that will never recover for the better.

August 2029 is the latest date for a G.E, no party with an overall majority of over 400 is going to call one before then. Let’s see how the new Reform councils are run, the current Reform run ones broke their manifesto by saying they would freeze council tax on their election leaflets, they all raised it. Nottingham led Reform County Council spent £75000 on flags to raise ‘community spirit’, would you be happy if HBC spent your Council Tax on flags ? Over 70 Reform councillors who were elected last year have either been sacked, suspended, quit or changed parties, currently a Reform Hartlepool Councillor has been suspended.
The newly elected Reform Councils have plenty of time on their hands to see if they can manage councils any better than their predecessors.
Thatcher and Major both lost heavily in council elections but still got elected at the G.E., a of water to flow under the bridge before 2029.

No he has said the NHS will be free at the point of delivery/use, what happens if you require more treatment, a veiled threat of privatisation in some shape or form.

The election provides a good smokescreen for Farage over the £5 million he received from a fella based in Thailand and changed his name to a Thai name, very patriotic thing for him to do.
As of May 2026, Nigel Farage is facing scrutiny and potential investigation regarding an undeclared £5 million gift received from a cryptocurrency investor, with parliamentary authorities and the election watchdog both looking into the matter

Let me ask you this...is medical treatment free at point of use in the country you choose to live in?, because if it isn't why are you so concerned about whether it is here?

and that was the problem on thursday for labour councillors. they were voted out because of what was going on on the national stage and not their individual performances as councillors. feel sorry for some especially one of our local lasses who would have worked 8 days a week for anybody even a non resident in her area. if only they had distanced themselves from starmer and his cabinet they might have done better. you can still be a supporter of any party and dislike its leader and the roa they are going down. its too late now once losing your seat to say starmer should go. say it before the election would have been better.

Like UK politics the NHS needs a radical Reform anyway, have you been to an A&E recently, or been in a waiting list for treatment, or tried to get a dental appointment? It's a huge financial drain that needs fundamental reorganisation and competent management.
Like Starmer, Jamie just ignores the evidence of the meteoric rise of Reform thinking this government are doing a good job. What manifesto promises or promises about taxes, Waspi women, immigration, etc have they actually delivered on?
A large cross section of the country have delivered a verdict on 2 years of Labour government and the prospect of another 3 years, and they're just not listening.

the NHS is some sacred cow that cannot be criticised. its become a money pit not helped by politicians or some of the general public. even just getting regular repeat medication has become a nightmare. remember the days when pharmacies were called the chemist. you went to the docs then walked down the chemist of your choice and waited a few minutes for it to be dispensed. now 48 hours notice has to be given that increased to 96 and even then its not always ready. problem is people think its free but wonder where taxes and NI go. then they think the only alternative is the usa one. its a topic that really needs a sensible discussion on as its a long way from the original nhs or the one i can stil remember from the 50,s.

And now Starmer has appointed Gordon Brown as a special economic advisor, well that's our pensions taking another hit then.
And Harriet Harman back as an advocate for girls and women, Starmer can't even define what a woman is!
Back to the future folks, 3 day week and power cuts ahead.

The rise of Reform was created when the immigrants problem cropped up, that’s what caused the meteroric rise of Reform. Their answer build detention centres, that would take years in areas that didn’t vote for Reform. Why should any party listen, local elections never mirror General Elections, it’s a shot over the bows for the other parties.
It’s interesting to note Farage refused to appear on tv chat shows prior to the election, he was concerned over the £5 million gift.
A couple of YouTube clips only 8/10 minutes long, it won’t take too much time up of peoples lives,

The £5m was revealed to cover security costs over a five year period…because it’s apparent people of your political persuasion like to attack him.
Ironic really.
Your constant repetition of the business makes you sound like an activist.

Snowy keep up with the news, he should have declared it end off, why didn’t he, ask yourself that question, Starmer got ridiculed for some specs in the right wing MSM but nothing has been said about the £5 million gift for Farage. No I am not an activist but some who realises Farage is a snake oil salesman who refuses to appear on one on one political shows. His only appearances are at conference halls filled with his own supporters. At the last elections Reform had over 40% of the vote this time 33%, what does this tell me.
Again sounds like you are a closeted Reform supporter but won’t admit it.

No problem, there are plenty of nutters about, the fact is he never declared it, as I said Starmer got ridiculed for a few pair of specs.

There's Jamie declaring Farage as guilty again before the Parliamentary Standards mob have finished checking it out. Not a peep about Starmer forcing his MPs to vote against his lies in appointing Mandelson though.

There's Jamie declaring Farage as guilty again before the Parliamentary Standards mob have finished checking it out. Not a peep about Starmer forcing his MPs to vote against his lies in appointing Mandelson though.

No law against forcing MPs to toe the party line but there is about receiving donations without declaring them.
