Any chance of the game being off?

Stocksfield_Poolie · **Posted:** Wed Feb 11, 2026 1:14 pm

Wetherby races was called off this morning.
Not so sure about the game being called off.
Anyone close by?

A rain soaked pitch may favour Pools, clutching at straws here!!

York fan here. Game will be on, 100%. Fancy hybrid pitch and never had a game cancelled for rain.

"Fancy hybrid pitch" bang goes my hope!

Any chance of resting your key players tonight!

As the actress said to the bishop, "the wetter the better". They had the sprinklers on before the FGR game at the weekend. Safe travels to anybody coming down. Free parking at Vangarde after 6pm (park closer to Next/Go Outdoors rather than M&S for a faster getaway).

Well, Fagan-Walcott and Felix are both out longish term and Greg Olley picked up a knock at the weekend so will sit this one out. The problem (for opponents) is that the next cab off the rank doesn't result in a drop-off in quality and the bench is a joke too. Starting line-up will probably be:

Male

Kitching
Johnson
Williams

Brookes
Boateng
Hunt
King

Grey
Pearce

Stones

Subs: GSK, Howe, Fallowfield, Batty, Banks, Newby, Hewitt

York were my tip to win the division.

You should win for fun tonight!

Probably best not to have posted your probable starting line up, our manager won't have any excuses now!

You'll win this 1-0 with Kouogun bouncing one in off his arse in the 90th minute. We started our current 19 game unbeaten run against you so seems inevitable that you'll end it too.

Ah….the old dream scenario….it’s Pools….we don’t do dream scenarios…they’re usually wet dreams
You can’t beat a bit tradition.
Can I point out, that if the increasingly unlikely scenario you jokingly suggested comes true, please ignore my previous comments.

They love their pitch at York. Last time Darlo played there the BBC Radio York presenters said "to the Darlington players this must be like playing at Wembley"

I don't think so mate, get a grip......

Everything points to a 4-0 drubbing but this is Pools so I wouldn't be surprised if they got something out of the game!
