Just cannot see how Featherstone can survive.

Calling the players out in media interviews stating they are not good enough to play “Expansive Attacking Football” (in other words when some come in your out)

Expecting a revert to type on Saturday.
Playing Reid alone again up top, A player who has always been known as a natural goal scorer(NatLge) Who could walk into most teams.

Its all about opinion but i think most of this squad are better than he was as a player.

I think Fevs was a bloody good player at this level right up until the end of last season when he (for the first time) started to look his age. He was also a very solid, reliable player at the level above for us for a good many seasons.

As a manager - I don't think he's got what we need and his tactics are bobbins. He's constantly trying to fit round pegs into square holes to play his way rather than developing a system that works to the strengths of the players we've got.

If Alex Reid was playing for York this season he'd be a different and much better player to what we're seeing here because they'd be playing him like they're playing Joe Gray (attacking midfield). We're sticking him up front like he's Les Ferdinand (and he's not that type of player).

you cannot, but a lot of his problems have been forced upon him. we cannot play 2 up front as we do not possess a second striker. thought throwing two new signings in the starting 11 on saturday was a gamble but then his options were limited without charman and daly. he more than likely will go back to the boring basics on saturday but at least we picked up points that way and its hard to be more ittetated that i was last saturday.

We don't have the players to play 2 up front? I disagree in that we have Charman who is a striker not a winger, Johnson who like Reid looks awful because we're not playing to eithers's strengths, Brown, and haven't we put a young lad out on loan somewhere? Besides which, if it was the case why have his 1st 2 signings been yet another slow unfit has been midfielder and a winger rather than a striker? He doesn't want to play 2 up top, it's not his way nor is it Lennie Lawrence's. They both need scattering asap. To win games you need to score goals, end of.

I think Accy nailed it when he replayed to me on anutha thread.
That this seasons contracts would be honoured as part of the takeover.

And yes I'd of put Charman up front with Reid.

Things can only get better from May.
It's a bit shit like because there was Deffo an opportunity to finish 7th this season.
Fevs absolutely clueless with tactics and man management skills.

He's 100% gone in May with that other crank Leonard.

UTP.

other teams score with one up front. reid was signed as a target man only because he is tall but has never been played with any success as one. we brought in oliver for that role only to get injured once he was up to speed. charman has always played on the wing since we signed him even after his goalscoring success with darlo was more central but not an out and out striker. its not all down to LLor NF as its years since we had a near complete side at this level. be interesting if these 2 pr 3 he wants to sign actually are and the positions they play. both reid and possibly johnson could improve with a big lump up top with them close to him.

I think Pools fans have done the usually. They’ve confused longevity with quality. Much as happened with the vastly overrated Humphreys, Featherstone has played an awful lot of bang average games.

These players are not ‘good servants’ they are employees who get a decent wage for kicking a ball around.

There was body language on that pitch today, That has no place at a Pro Club.
And certainly not at Pools.

exactly. it would have been fuck you pools if someone had given em a few pounds a week to move, but we all know quite well nobody was prepared to do that.
