Pleased his first three additions include two attack minded players. Keep that attitude up Nicky.

Two have already gone in Nathaniel-George and Jerome Francis. Can't see Walker and Ferguson over staying their welcome. Johnson won't feature very high on a retained list. All three need sending out on loan. A decision needs to be made on the fitness of Oliver. Our fringe youth players need to be decided upon as well.

I know that we are nowhere near challenging York this season, but it does concern me a little bit that when we play them away, we are potentially going to be two players down ( John & Sinclair ) & this may well affect our ability to find our way into the play offs.

I just said exactly the same thing to my son and he said three players down dad cos we don't have Jermain Francis now.

Keep the faith, Feaths is on a roll now and seemingly having fun as Landon suggested. We can therefore look forward to further incomings, potentially Wearne from Carlisle Shaggers FC and a centre-mid in order that he doesn't need to select himself in the play-off semis and Final.

He was a regular in the York team for two seasons prior to this season when a load of new moneybags signings arrived.

would love pools to be in that position where we loan out decent lads from this season because we have signed better. is it the recruitment team that cannot change there mindset from the raj era or is the money not available for us to be a york or a stockport and wrexham of the past.

His goal scoring record at this level is very good over the last couple of seasons. I'm intrigued to see what our bench is this Saturday as Cameron John is back available (probably replace Parks) and we have Holohan and now Sinclair on our books.

would not be that surprised if both start on the bench. thats not knocking fevs but something that happens a lot for players who have just signed.

its a bit different with keepers though.

Speaking of York, just got my ticket for the game down there on 11th February. We got beat 5-3 last season, but the scoreline makes the game sound a lot closer than it was.

Could get a right chasing this time around, specially as John and Sinclair won't be playing We really need to sign another left back. Topollaj still hasn't been replaced.

Feaths reckons we'll have another 2 or 3 players signed in the next week or so - of a better standard than the ones that were available to Pools before Landon Smith took over.

did he actually say those words of they would be of a better standard before LS arrived. i never heard that but only a better standard than the ones previously looked at. for me hols and sinclair i signings we could have made under RS. only the keeper looks a different proposition.

Same thing isn't it? Why else would they suddenly be a different standard to the ones Pools were looking at previously? For now, the only thing that's changed is LS replacing Raj. Feaths is still in his job and so is Joe Monks. Surely something to do with the purse strings being loosened a bit.

I thought we were moving to a data driven recruitment model where the player stats were an important step? Neither of the 2 outfield signings has played enough football lately for their stats to count for anything. Neither will be match fit.

he said it was just an addition tool used for signings and holohn was his signing anyway. possibly it will come into its own more if we were interested in players from say colchester or plymouth who they know are available but have had little chance to watch them live and have to rely on the data plus mates who have seen em play.

actually thought that standards thing was mentioned in the francis departure. you are right about nothing changing but the club ownership. even the results are similar than in the past. glad to see the back of singh but i,m still not going to get all giddy yet about LS ownership until i really see something positive on signings to come where we say could we ever imagine so and so playing for pools type of player coming in.
