What's all the fuss about, we've knocked Palace out of the FA Cup twice  , noticed Menayese had an outstanding game, good player that lad.

Can't understand why Palace didn't take it seriously and start a strong team. Dyche did the same with Forest yesterday and said the Wrexham win was written in the stars, no Sean you f*cked up fielding a weakened team. If I was a fan of either of those PL clubs I'd be absolutely fuming.

Still meaningful to the fans and you'd expect owners when there's potentially European football as a reward too. Look at the massive boost Newcastle and the fans got from their Cup win last season.

It does mean something, but the TV. Companies have done their best to diminish it.

Nicky Southall into the box, trips and gets a penalty. Andy Saville slots it and i am in ecstasy.
Can we have this back please.

Yes. I suspect palace and forest fans are as annoyed as we were being dumped out by lower league opposition. At all levels of the game fans and those running there clubs are miles apart in there wishes even ones with good owners. as for europe if teams are in this season after season i,d be syrprised if the majority are more interested in a game against say some swiss club as they would progressing in the fa cup.

The papers are describing this as the biggest ever FAC shock. Might I suggest that a non league club winning the cup in 1901 might rank a touch higher?

its the gap between them and palace in league placings that makes it the biggest. less layers of the game back in 1901 with only 2 divisions and then down to the southern league etc.

Think it was compounded by the fact, that Palace were Cup Holders.

Only similar one I can remember was when Coventry lost to Sutton - must have been a similar amount of places between them to Palace and Macc. Also, not sure if it was the season Cov were holders or the one after

feel being in the 1st round proper for pools equals a cup shock in its own right.
