I would suggest the heaviest snowfall that we've seen here in at least the past 10-15 years...?

We have had a bit of a dusting but nowt serious, although it is bitter cold. Fortunately our living room is south facing, so with the door shut the sun is heating that one room very nicely. Of course that only happens when the sun is shining, but it is a cheap source.

Driving back from the Headland, never got out of third gear.
The wife was going down to Thirsk for a week with three of her accomplices  …on the way out she said she wanted a cool box…I got one and she said it’s ok…..it’s that bloody cold I won’t need it….I asked if she was putting it on a roof rack…because cars nowadays have heaters…..where she got the axe from I have no idea.

I did a painting for someone years ago at that point and my trouble is I get obsessed with detail.
That piece was one that was ‘roughed up’ to create a different effect digitally…but is it mine or not…not too sure..
I did a painting of the Isle of Man Ferry in the Irish Sea out from Barrow going from Heysham and did a quick series of sketches and notes…so it was all from memory…wife says it keeps me quiet…

The wife thought the black rocks on the water should have been random and not in a straight line…till I told her they were the wooden supports for the Burn Road overflow

Got my walking poles out and its like being a 4 x 4 easily walking on the icy surfaces.
The hospitals are having a big influx of falls resulting in hip fractures which for the 60+ can be life debilitating.

I took the the dog for his morning walk and even he did a poop straight away and turned round to go home, I didn't argue, it's lethal out there.

Aye it’s comical….came down this morning…they were both ‘folk dancing’ to go in the garden…opened up the door into the back garden..went out like two rockets…and barking at the door within 30 seconds.

my two buggers only do that in the afternoon when its hot. colder the better as far as they are concerned but they are designed for it. at least they are not slipping and sliding about looking at a mobile phone as many humans will be still doing.

Goretti storm.
Media hype, scare mongering?
All the pictures i see show 1-2 inches of snow and other reports of weather conditions that are typical of a British winter.

The sensible option is to look out of the window and make your own assessment, we've still got Yellow warnings in place but conditions are as you'd expect for the time of year. If you planned your life around weather forecasts and warnings it really wouldn't be worth living.
No wonder Trump is saying the UK and Starmer are weak, the country is being brainwashed into being afraid of something everyday - MSM full of weather, health, financial crashes, ww3, etc warnings as we fall further and further down the nanny state route. Independent thinking is a curse that must be eliminated by government and moreso this inept lot.

It's the annual phenomenon of the South getting some winter weather.

Snow and ice is picture postcard stuff when Scotland and northern England gets it but a really big deal when the South gets some. Something to do with living on an island 600 miles long with 70% of people in the bottom bit

There was a reporter this morning …a ‘survivor’..smartly dressed in two inches of snow advising people to go into hibernation…the snow in our garden was deeper on Tuesday.
Main item on the news, while Iran is going up in flames…..what a joke.

wind and rain/snow getting a name, deeply coloured maps with dire warnings. what next banned from going out for the greater good and save the nhs again. heard yesterday about school closures in cornwall for the wind. fine when it suits them and inconveniance parents who might have to leave work early. take the kids out for a few days holiday in term time and you,ll be fined because it could hinder there education. they want it all their own way nowadays.
