... particularly the Mail in such a hurry to get us fixed up with a new Manager?, surely we need to give the present incumbents a good shot at it without heaping too much external pressure on them. Can't see the sense in it, I would have said give it till Xmas with the team there now and if it isn't working appoint someone then, but constantly pulling up a list of has beens and ex-players is tiresome and unproductive to me.

I would give Fevs the job for the rest of the season and take it from there.
We are not going to be in a relegation fight and there is a small chance of the last play off place.
We did not expect much from this season anyway, so a bit of sensible thinking and calmness is now needed.

a decision should be made one way or the other quickly. at the moment the club feels in limbo and cannot see any new signings happening until someone gets the job permanently. we badly need a couple of new bodies in as the team is picking itself at the moment and even more next saturday

I think it's fairly obvious we need it sorting one way or another. We need to sign some players to improve the squad and the longer this goes on the more we might miss out on targets/they might not want to move so close to Jan etc.
If Featherstone is on 'trial' for the role, he's had coming up to 5 weeks with the players - you'll have seen in those 5 weeks how he manages the squad + training and that would let you know if he's worth the job along with the results he's got in that time. What does 1 extra game offer for your decision making? If he loses/draws a tight game is he suddenly not worthy of the job?
Whoever does end up with the job needs time and patience. If we sack them in the summer again we'll see this whole season replayed over and over again.

The silence from HUFC is deafening!

The fans need clarification with what is happening.
Are they actively looking for a new manager or will Fevs be given the rest of the season?
Does Fevs want the job? Is he happy doing the role?

Nothing from the club shows just how much they think of the fans!

I think they are showing what they think of the fans and to quote Mr Hignett, you could write it on the back of a postage stamp.

we are only seen as a moaning necessary evil by them. lots of others treat fans the same but at least its something pools are leading the rest in doing.

It would be nice to have an extended period of nothing and see how it turns out….this demanding instant success method from managers has crashed and burned a long time ago.

Agree entirely, I would like to see Feaths given a few more games at least - at least until the end of the month. Any new manager is going to want to review all of the squad until such time that he knows his best 11. And God knows neither Sarll and Grayson actually managed to do that during their tenure.

As for the Mail, Stelling Jnr is obviously struggling to justify his existence due to Raj's shenanigans coupled with little or no news emanating from the Vic. Some of the stuff that Stelling is churning out is a trifle embarrassing however.

Leave it with Fevs unless things get bad on the pitch. I honestly can't be arsed anymore.

Got it in one. Robbie Stelling can't say to his editor 'There's no real news from Pools, can we just leave the page blank?'

Raj wore out the 'silence is deafening' cliche ages ago - week after week there's nothing tangible to comment on except the pre-match and post-match interviews and the game itself.

Pools must be the only publicity shy club in world football

Trouble is, this silent witness routine is loosening the links between fans and the club……if Pools are away, the radio is the next best option…and whatever purpose it serves has long since proved to be nothing but a huge negative in the club /fan relationship.

But the fans forum has addressed the important stuff like the water pressure in the bogs.

Cock up 25 would be more appropriate.
