Not bad £3 billion pounds similar to last year nice little earner but prices still keep going up ?

Fancy a very large business employing 340,000 people making a decent profit. We need to tax them till they close down. I have no doubt Rachel Reeves will already be sorting it.

It’s a problem when they aren’t making a profit…..customers can always shop somewhere else if offended….we did.
But at least we have a choice.

£3 billion a decent profit of the working population irrespective of how many people they employ ?

I appreciate there are other opinions but I have no objection to companies making a profit. It is not as though Tesco charge vastly higher prices than other competitors.

If people weren’t happy with Tesco they’d be out of business…it’s obvious their customers are happy to pay their prices….too high fo me…..but ……. others are happy to shell,out.

no, but they need taxing the full amount they owe without legal ways of avoiding there responsibilities. the bastards get every single penny off us so why not tesco and the rest.

Worst supermarket in town. You just cant find anything which is deliberate. Good for your steps though.
Aldi now has nearly everything and is laid out in a logical order so it gets my custom most of the time now.

if there is no sainsbuty,s about then tesco is the last resort for us. still recovering from the loss of NETTO.

Just getting you to move round all the shop as most stick to a route for what they want…..pain in the arse though.

The £4 billion was taxes collected from customers VAT and excise duties so not paid directly by Tesco.

Are you saying they should be paying more taxes and why…?

No I am saying not all the tax paid is from Tesco profits, read my post Snowy, it’s tax paid by the customers through VAT and Excise duties on alcohol and fuel,Tesco collect it then pass it on to HMRC.
