So I think Jermaine Francis’s appearance for Grenada yesterday was the first full international cap for a current Pools player since Fogarty got a game for Ireland the year I was born, unless any of you stato’s know different?

Didn't we have a lad who played for Northern Ireland would have been about 20 years ago. He was a centre half- think his first name was Gordon (could have been the U21s)
Didn't Trevor Carson get called up, but then had to pull out through injury?

Who could forget Armann Bjornsonn? Iceland international player. And that miss in front of goal.

Yes there have a few internationals play for us but I still think Francis is the first one to receive a full senior international cap since AF in 1964 unless someone knows otherwise.

Amazing to think we would go 61 years between caps, even if it was only Grenada!

Liam Donnelly played for us between 2016/18, he made 4 senior appearances for Northern Ireland, but while with us was capped for the U21 side, for whom he played 24 times, which apparently is a record number of appearances for Northern Ireland U21's.

Was it Gordon Simm(s), I don't think he played that much, I think Westwood and Lee might have been first choice at centre backs at the time

Zane Francis-Angol played for Antigua and Barbuda while with the club in 2021/22.
