They could have left Liddle and Clayton in charge which would have been the easy and cheap option. Wild speaks about the longer term and the project so that implies he and the club are planning on him being around for a while.
There's talk of bringing 3 players in by Monday.
In the absence of anything concrete from the hierarchy, I'll take the positives from the facts that Wild and Conlon are here talking about longer term and bringing players in.

They could do various things.....including breaking the owner's silence.

Hopeful optimism from me at the moment.

Bringing players in hasn't been the problem, the right players and gelling them into a team seems to be the hard part.

Hope springs eternal

Obviously from been expected to win the league in the summer the menu will have changed.

26/27 Stay up have cup runs to finance next season - some fans don't believe in that method - both options are allowed.

27/28. Finish mid table.

29/30 finally finish 7th - maybe get lucky - Promotion.

Fans crying out for manager stability and time to deliver.

Are them seasons analasis acceptable?

He’s took action and to all intents and purposes neutered the previous ‘elite’…now can we just get down to giving things time to develop under our new manager… I’m allergic to Raj’s attitude of sacking the manager every time we hit a bump in the road, successful teams are built on stability, not constant change.

If Wild is the next best thing since DC.
Then surely 27/28 changes to 7th.
That promotes the manager stability.
A millitude of so called success
How we have fallen it's almost laughable

not for me it isn,t. we have had mid table stability since being relegated actually bettering out league position by one season after season. its only been the last few weeks we have dropped to a new low. if i manage to reach the start of the 2030,s i,d hate us to still be playing at this level. if we are then we could become a permanent fixture with the odd season fighting for the play offs or to avoid the drop. a lot in the emediate short term will depend on wild and his signings and improving the squad to make us competitive again.

many clubs including spurs and man.u have the same problem as us. there is no magic wand when you sign players who at our level will all have had mixed careers. i,d guess even clark was as bothered as we were that his signings and tactics never came off. it was not done on purpose as in his case it was his livlyhood.

Whilst all that is very true, Mr Accy, the vast majority of fans are only passionate about one club. They might have a soft spot for other clubs but there is always a number one. My main concern is Pools and their fortunes are an intrinsic part of my life and when Pools are struggling it hurts. I sometimes wish it didn't but it does. What happens at other clubs, whilst I take a nodding interest because it's football, I don't really care.

i do not give a flying fuck to be honest but find it either interesting or is funny that there problems are no different to outs in a lot of ways but many of us think ours are totally unique to us.
