Hold your hands up NF and leave, Because if you are still in charge next season then next season will be written off before it starts.

Players look disinterested as they have done all game.

Time for Bromby n Partners to speed up the process.
Fuck honoring contracts.

Get Fevs sacked tomorrow.

6-0 now - this shameful night certainly will never be forgotten. ST sales won't even reach the taxiing stage let alone reach the runway. Featherstone needs to hold his hands up and submit his resignation tomorrow - game over, why prolong the agony?

Add the Nomads, Trinity, Woking ...... How many most embarrassing performances can you have in one season?

Typical pools, come up against a side that’s lost their last 3 league games without scoring in any of them. Team talk must have been something along the lines of “let’s fill these fookers full of confidence for their trip to Wembley”

Walker looks like his legs are made of lead! Oliver immobile. Campbell - just say no more.

It’s really quite embarrassing watching some of these lads run around the footy pitch whilst 6-0 down. Actually you could say it’s quite iconic stuff. Lads, if you’re reading this, you big bloody legends!

Olamola. Fresh from one of the more hilarious passages of play. Next phase… smashes one in. SEVEN!

Fair play to Wealdstone, they’ve played very well and look like they’ve got some tricky, technical footballers. Much better than us all over the park, but only just!!!!

On the upside, at least we won’t have to suffer the unjustified optimism should we have scraped into the play offs.

If Wealdstone can put 7 past us, I dread to think how many Scunthorpe wil get on Friday. Could be a cricket score

I bet in the next few days the club will put some silly bounder out to be interviewed who will claim he thinks we can still make the play offs.

Wasn’t able to watch the game tonight but obviously a shocking result, and a sackable offence (if the 20 odd games previously weren’t already).

As I said didn’t watch tonight but have seen enough to know that Featherstone is clueless. You’re losing 5-0 at half time, so yeah, bollock the lads, make some changes. But feels like someone just masquerading as a manager (almost as if he’s completely unqualified for the job). Seriously, I don’t care if it’s 1-0 or 5-0, bringing on Walker and Campbell just feels like making changes to look like you’re doing something.

Why are we signing all these young players on loan who never/barely play? Again, almost as if someone wants to look as if they’re actually doing something and justifying the no doubt decent wage they’re earning.

I am just so fed up of this league and this club. I cannot believe it’s only our third year back down here. Fucking soul destroying…

Nail on head. Utterly demoralising at every turn this football club.

I think Landon needs to get over here ASAP or at the very least make some kind of announcement. The feelgood factor since the takeover was already fading as a result of the lack of meaningful abd/or visible activity but tonight's shocking performance/result will effectively blow it out of the water.

It is embarrassing for Landon, the club, the fans and the town. I won't include the recruitment personnel, the manager, coaches or those players selected for tonight's as they are directly responsible for the events of this evening. Make no mistake, this is one of the worst results in Pools history and will not be readily forgotten.

Featherstone has been an excellent servant to the club as a player and is certainly nowhere near the worst manager in the clubs history. He has after all somehow managed to keep the side involved in the NL play-off chase until tonight.

Despite the occasional abysmal performance/result Feaths can still cement a reasonably positive place in Pools history IF he does the decent thing and throws in the towel tomorrow. Hand on Heart he must surely know that the game is up for him now and that he needs to exit in order to avoid further embarrassment to both himself and the clubs owners.

I doubt he will resign, he has bills to pay just like the rest of us. If he is sacked they will have to pay him till the end of his contract but if he walks he'll get nowt. I agree he damn well SHOULD resign after that absolute shambles plus Woking, Anstey Nomads and Wakefield Trinity or whatever they were called. Not forgetting the miserable home performances against he likes of Aldershot (0-3) and Sutton (0-2). Yes you cant win em all football teams cant all be world beaters but dear me we have had some particularly abysmal performances this season.

This result now proves why Smithy cut off the money supply to Fevs.

Weve abided the patience request from Smithy.
Now it's time for him to deliver.

We ain't asking for the world or a Wrexham fairytale.

Just a steady comfortable finish in the top 7 next season.

Looks like he's throwing all his eggs into this Bromby mob.

Lets have it.
UTP.

Years gone by part time teams used to run out of steam near the end of the game, not now these lads keep themselves fit. Maybe Pools should try going part time, there must be some decent players out there who can’t afford to give up their full time for a footballers salary.

Turns out Pools are just too inconsistent, but never saw that coming, it was an eye opener….a lethargic excuse of a team who appeared totally demotivated and didn’t seem to care offering feeble opposition across the pitch.
No one stood out, all we saw was a collective collapse across the board I can’t recall seeing before.such a bumbling mess on the pitch…. It was an embarrassment of monumental proportions.

May be more to come with the run-in involving 5 of the top 7 sides, Rochdale will want their points back. If Scunthorpe leave us in a mess, Rochdale will be watching like vultures waiting to pick the bones clean.

thought everyone stood out for being totally crap and clueless. we actually had a warning before they scored there first goal but nobody looked interest to work on it. big question is why was that performance given by the players. do they know something we do not.

A 7-0 result between teams within the same division doesn't happen too often but can occur when in-form top promotion-chasing sides outclass relegation contenders OR one club is devastated by injuries and suspensions and is enforced to field youths and/or veterans. It can also occur when players are suddenly demotivated for whatever reason e.g. not being paid or perhaps picking up rumours that their services may not be required in the near future.

As far as I am aware, Wealdstone haven't become a crack NL side overnight nor have Pools haven't regressed to automatic relegation candidates. I remember Reading stuffing us 7-0 in our 3rd Division campaign immediately following promotion in 68-69 but they were a top side and we were already doomed to return to D4 as I recall. Time will tell if there was an underlying reason for last nights collapse I guess.

surely there was a reason for last nights display as usually in a heavy defeat a couple had good games who you felt sorry for

Was out yesterday evening, came back just before half time, put the scores on, 5-0, thought there was something wrong with the BBC football site!!!
Had to refresh the page several times thinking it was a joke!
Well it is today!

This is like the day after the night before……a recurring problem that needs sorting because we are nowhere near escaping out of this league…champagne ideals…lemonade money is our problem…and till it’s sorted we haven’t a cat in hells chance.

At the present time, ie the day after an entirely self-inflicted storm - I can readily envisage an ST boycott coming that will entirely eclipse last year's efforts to shift Raj out of the club. On this occasion it won't be aimed at the owner but the excuse of a totally inexperienced first team manager - who makes Kier Starmer look competent- plus at least half of the current journeymen squad members who are not fit to represent the club. The legendary 'Never Say Die' spirit of Hartlepool folk currently lies with AFC Supporters. Hartlepool United FC is as far away from that philosophy as ever IMO.

more or less we are in the same boat as we were under grayson and raj singhs ownership. team no better. money seemingly the same. what we see on the pitch is no different mostly boring. main thing is next season an finding a proper manager who i feel will need to work on the cheap if the last few months is anything to go on.

The Wealdstone manager has made some interesting comments re Pools preparation for the game. Was it necessary to travel down on the Monday and spend a night in a hotel. Wealdstone is 250 miles from Hartlepool, less than a six hour journey away. A nine o’clock start on Tuesday would have got them their mid afternoon, time for a meal and a light training session. If it had been a Saturday match with a 3 o’clock kick off travelling down the day before would have made sense.

Yes, I saw that, he talked about how having the full day before the match doing very little until KO might have a detrimental effect on the team. He reckons they had a similar experience after travelling early to Gateshead.
No excuse though, it's not as if they had a bad day at the office, they just didn't turn up at all for work.

got to agree with him. imagine they,d have done the same if the fixture was at the vic and most southern based sides will do the same. its not as if you are asking players to go down by national express and make there own way to the ground.

Yes and the players would have had the added advantage of a night's sleep in their own beds and the club would have kept the expense sheet a bit lighter. If we stopped all this malarkey and rid the club of unnecessary bodies we might have a few extra quid to spend on the squad. Too many hangers on and too much player coddling.
I remember having a conversation with Wilf Mannion years ago. He was picked for England against one of the other home nations and the KO was a Saturday afternoon at 3 PM. The arrangement was he made his own way to the team hotel for 10 AM on the Saturday morning.
He caught the London train at around 11 PM on the Friday night, got into London early Sat morning, got some breakfast and wandered around the sights until meeting time.
That's how much molly coddling footballers got them days and Wilf Mannion was a brilliant footballer.

That's how much molly coddling footballers got them days and Wilf Mannion was a brilliant footballer.

Aye Bobby Robson pickled for England made his own way to London and the same after the game back home

After watching the highlights.
The majority off their goals were created by our players giving them to much space and no closing them down.

It's almost as if they had a union meeting before the game to go on strike.

End of the day it's a workplace and something after Morecambe n before Wealdstone has happened.

Maybe the overnight stay triggered something off.

After the first two goals they were either playing in lead lined divers boots or confused….you just new it was going to be a nightmare by then…and the subs ( ) didn’t help things along.

Nice story about the Golden Boy derwent.

Unfortunately the way society is at the moment, men wanting to be molly coddled!!!!How fecking manly is that!!!

and if the club was that tough on players we,d have trouble signing anybody the way things have gone.
