Interesting you mention Norway who are commissioning mothballed oil and gas fields and drilling lots more even though they'ee already way ahead of us in renewables eh?

Accept the fact PTID Thatcher squandered more money by selling North Sea assets of along with the Utilities the ‘wealth’ the U.K. has received from the North Sea is in tax revenues dwarfs what Norway has received,
Norway has generated vastly more revenue and long-term wealth from North Sea oil and gas than the United Kingdom. While historical UK production brought in roughly $470 billion, Norway accumulated over $1.2 trillion to $2 trillion, driven by higher taxes, state equity stakes, and a massive sovereign wealth fund

You talk as though it’s something new.
It has always been like this, but the people who take the chances and create jobs obviously want their reward, this petty levelling out of income is called communism…but even the top dogs in those countries are comfortably off and producing fuck all but misery to political dogma.
You’re dreaming if you think everyone will be the same..,read ‘Animal Farm’…it explains it so easily how no matter what society you live in ther’ll always be the system of elites…from financiers to country’s who have only one candidate to vote for and shoot opponents.[/‘quote]

I am meaning the wealthy who through inheritance are wealthy, I am sure they outnumber the self made millionaires who made their money by setting businesses up. I class the fella who owns Wetherspoons as a self made millionaire creating 1000s of jobs but the likes of Lineker he made his money from TV, how many jobs did he create ?
.

But which one’s the Tory and who is the Labour Luvvy…?

Does it make any difference Luvvy ?

We were never allowed to reap the full benefits that would have come from Brexit had it been negotiated with any real will to gain them, too many snouts in the troughs to want to give it all up.
I'm not listing anything because it's been done to death in here already with myself and others providing lists and you continually ignoring them and a while later asking for lists again.
Despite it all I'm pleased we're well out of it, I'd be happy enough to rejoin a Customs Union or have closer trading ties but I don't want to be a citizen of the United(???) States of Europe.
This Labour government is harming the economy and lowering business investment yet you're a supporter of them?

I don’t remember anyone posting the benefits of Brexit on the Bunker PTID, although I have posted the non benefits many times, just google what have the benefits of Brexit been, you won’t many if any. Brexit was a con, none of the politicians wanted it so no real efforts were made to make if a success.

Dear me that’s history Snowy, the fella has been in the job a few weeks and already you are slagging him off, I noticed the MSM have been digging Burnham up for having a few days holiday, don’t we all have an entitlement to a holiday ?

UK Inheritance Tax (IHT) is a 40% tax charged on the part of an estate worth more than the standard tax-free threshold of £325,000. This threshold can increase up to £500,000 if passing a main home to children or grandchildren, and spousal transfers are completely exempt

So you don't want anyone taking any of your money because you've worked hard for it but it's OK to take others even if they've worked hard for theirs too?

I know very few people who ‘follow the money markets’…you have an obsession with money and moving half way around the world to minimise your spending sounds more Scrooge than common sense.
Socialists tend not to leave their country to protect their bank balance… or it could be your surname is Scrooge…?
Either way, it’s all a bit sad.

Personally, I’ll stay in my country and pay my dues, running away to sit counting my kelp and getting aroused by it doesn’t appeal to me.

for me you have to look and act the part as well as doing it. obviously it does not make you better at your job but many expect you to look and act the part when its necessary. being the PM he is the most important person in this country and should be looking and acting if he is. what next, the king calling himself charlie three wearing a tee shirt and jeans

How many people ‘dress up’ in suits nowadays, ties appear to have gone out of fashion, people don’t look up to other people who wear suits, in my employment it wasn’t unusual to see the bosses wearing coveralls, just because a person wears a suit doesn’t make them a better more intelligent person.

You don’t know many people who follow the money markets, your pensions were invested in the money markets, you never followed them ? Your must have a very small circle of friends Snowy or lived a closeted life, when I was abroad it was the daily topic of conversation among a few of us.
Snowy, it’s up to you but don’t criticise others socialist or otherwise who chose to live abroad and follow the markets, everyone has different interests, what have you got against them, you envious ?
No one runs away from anything they have found a better place to live, you ever tried it, no you haven’t so don’t criticise others who choose to do so.As far as paying my dues I still do, my pensions are all taxed the same as any interest on my savings, living abroad doesn’t get you away from that, I am not a burden on the state, I don’t use the NHS.p Counting my kelp, don’t you ever check your bank balances ?

no, people dress up in high vis now at every single opportunity unless its kids going to school in winter. why did ties go out of fashion. at a guess that was blair who was the first male PM not to wear one. its hard to imagine any boss in a boiler suite or overalls unless he was hands on on the shop floor. if not then what was he trying to prove. one of the shop floor lads because years ago he might have done it before.

When I worked on construction sites and offshore none of the big bosses dressed up, they wore the same as the lads, even in the offices the manager never wore a suit, the non wearing of ties came in long after Blair was PM. I can never remember coming face to face with a manager who wore a suit.
I do remember my Father telling me all tradesmen years ago wore a collar and tie but I never saw it in my day.

Depends where you worked..some of my gaffers all wore suits and ties …not new ones..but it was a sign of their authority, yet some where always in overalls, but they tended to have a different colour to prove their authority….depends what industry you’re in …even the Navy for the same job it was a white shirt and black tie or a woolly pulley and shirt, depended on circumstances…but some gaffers just had to ‘advertise their’authoryt’…We had a joke song about it..
The working class can kiss my arse,
I’ve got the foreman’s job at last.

On some oil and gas module projects I worked on the river in the Boro the first thing a supervisor did when he was made was remove his coveralls, that changed years later when it was mandatory to wear coveralls as part of your PPE.
