The debt to the energy companys from unpaid bills will just grow n grow when they know they can avoid jail n the bailiffs.

All this passed onto the genuine hard working people.

What a mess but only going to get a lot worse.

Major creation to this is immigration.

Enoch warned us.
Now it's happened and totally irreversible.

Immigration isn’t the problem, the majority of immigrants came to the U.K. to work or study, you sound like Reform/Farage blaming everything on immigration, net migration to the UK fell to 171,000 in 2025, representing a nearly 50% drop from 2024 and an 82% decrease from its record peak of approximately 944,000 in 2023. This decline marks the lowest level of net migration since 2012 (excluding the Covid-19 pandemic) and was driven primarily by a drop in non-EU work and study visas.
What the government should be concentrating about is getting the kids jobs instead of sending them to uni racking them up with debt with no job at the end of it. I’ll say it again the U.K. has a huge shortage of bricklayers, joiners, plumbers, electricians, joiners etc make it mandatory for the building companies to employ apprentices. When I served my time the apprentices were one to one with the tradesmen. You weren’t there to make the tea or fetch and carry, you were given tasks to do, if the gaffer come round and the apprentices were stood doing nothing the tradesmen were told to give him a task.

Of course immigration is a problem, there's way too many coming here and not contributing at all but draining public services.

1.5 million migrants claimed Universal Credit last year according to a FOI response. Definitely not a problem.

Universal credit, is that the thing we pay because companies don't pay their staff enough to live on?

Jamie lives in Thailand…Jamie listens to media outlets who share his limited world view and believe the present so called ‘’government’ are the only option…he’s out of touch and doesn’t realise it bless him.

Why does it matter where I live Snowy, the UKs problems are well known no matter where you live on the planet, there is a thing called the internet nowadays or do you just use it to access The Bunker ?
Can you enlighten me Snowy what media outlets I listen to, what ones you glean your worldly knowledge from, I think your the one with the limited knowledge, you won’t get it watching GB News.

Of course there is a problem but you whining on about it all the time and blaming the boat people for immigration who only make up a small number of migrants isn’t going to solve it. Of course if you watch GB News listen to Reform Party members they won’t educate you who actual the migrants are.
High UK immigration numbers hitting a peak of 944,000 in 2023 were driven by post-pandemic economic recovery, international student booms, and humanitarian visa schemes.
Currently as I posted before immigration has dropped due to recent policy changes that caused net migration to drop sharply back down to 171,000.
We will never stop migrants as long as there are jobs the British are prepared or trained up to do.

Yes I'm sure that the 500 or so that have come over the Channel in the last few days will be working in the care system and NHS shortly

we are kept being told that these are only a small amounf of the immigrants we get. if thats the case then god knows how many entered legally over the last few days. if the truth was told i do not think they actually know the full numbers now in this country due to the black economy in many big cities. why is that not jumped on like say seaside arcades that are regularly checked for cash in hand workers. think we all know the answer.

Like many getting confused about legal immigrants and the illegal ones, the black economy has always been there even before immigrants arrived.

Legal or illegal I don't give a fuck about your spin for an argument.
Our town is infested with them and they will be getting a free life.
In 5 years time they will outnumber us.
While us taxpayers keep paying for them.

No wonder we only getting 50 pence a week off our Leccy for the ammount of tax worker’s pay is an absolute pisstake.

And don't even think about acuseing me of being racist again.

I am pro English.

Lewisham Council has passed a motion to make the London Borough a "Borough of sanctuary" and refusing to cooperate in illegal immigrant raids and arrests.

Makes you wonder!!!!!

I was in Hartlepool in April and the town was ok apart from the druggies at the bottom of the ramp, I didn’t see any problems from the immigrants, they just went about their business bothering no one,

Jamie was in the town in April for a couple of weeks and he watches U Tube so he's an expert on the town, it's people, and it's problems.
Replace infested with colonised and it's bang on.

I make no comment about life in Thailand because I’m detached from it……the internet is no excuse for actually being somewhere to really experience something……if your hypothesis was true, we could all sit in bed for 24 hours searching the internet to experience the entire world…..without getting out of bed……. you’re experiencing nothing.

Why do you bring Thailand up in the majority of your comments then Snowy, posters appear to forget I lived in the U.K. over 70 years therefore I have plenty experience of it past and present.

Prior to those 2 weeks I lived in the town until after Covid, more years than some of the posters on The Bunker, not much has changed since then apart from more empty shops in Middleton Grange. YouTube doesn’t feature Hartlepool but plenty of the news outlets do online. The only part of the town that has improved over the last couple years is Seaton where money has been invested in new businesses.

The town and indeed the country have changed massively for the worst since COVID, living here is far different from once living here.
And of course colonised by new arrivals, it's the definition isn't it?

Burnham seems to be playing Santa Claus in July to try and get back the Labour vote giving an image of being generous to his voters, even though the amounts are negligible, plus his constant emphasis on the ‘North’ and the various up North gimmicks to try and split the country…odd how all those dumped by Starmer have been brought back after working with Burnham to depose Starmer.
Is Manchester in the North…? They’re Southerners to me…..

Burnham is quite fortunate as the media are focusing on the the Clacton election and that will catty on after the result. The heat will be on Burnham when parliament reopens after the summer recess.
Here’s a clip albeit some on here will say it’s AI generated about a Reform fella canvassing in Clacton.

Yes and the memories are usually mainly all good.
To try to claim you're up on current affairs in Hartlepool when you don't currently reside here is ridiculous. Add to that the fact that even when you did live in Hartlepool you were globe-trotting around the world.
To really know an area and it's people you have to live there and get to know the folk or type of folk living around you.

I think I got to know the folks in Hartlepool after 70 years albeit with a few times working abroad also with lads from the town but also working in the Teesside area. I have seen the good times when the town was booming with clubs packed out every night and now you could count number of clubs in the town on one hand. The not so good times knocking the heart out of the town by demolishing the area around Lynn Street to be replaced with a concrete soulless monstrosity. Grot spots like derelict night clubs in Park Road and Lucan Street.

Yer fooling no one……all you have is memories now, the present is another country…..you’re out of the loop so just admit it and drop the waffle.

So Jamie you got to know the people who lived here when you did, you don't know them now. You knew the town back in the day, you don't know it now.
I'm only in the town for matches and I can see a huge change over the last decade both in the state of the town and also the people around the place and speaking generally it's for the poorer imo. Yet from thousands of miles away Jamie has fond memories of nightclubs and a booming town (when even was that)?

as another who just visits for the match there has been changes, but i,d guess more if you are just looking for them. hartlepool like many coastal towns and holiday resorts were mainly populated by white brits. the town is nowhere close to be taken over like towns in west yorks, east lancs and the big cities could be thought of. agree that nobody asked for this influx and in many peoples eyes this has not helped there lives one bit. really why should this town be any different and the country as a whole. its a european problem and thats where the situation starts and could be finished. its like the anzio landings on steroids and d day in reverse. for me there is no real will to stop them as the EU itself is full of members of the WEF and there goals.

i really doubt that anyone born after WW2 has seen the town and the area as boom places. my old man born in 1903 even said the town was going backwards from the late 1920,s even if the majority of firms were still in business. all you need to look at is the makeup of posters on here with the percentage who live well outside the area. funny that if you move and go to a new job there will be a geordie or someone from the old county durham working there plus the kids of the older ones.
