The first bit of injury news is that Danny has a non-malignant tumour on one side of his face and is in the middle of a course of radiotherapy! Amazing that he is carrying on working , though he won't be in the dugout for some games. Hope you make a complete recovery soon Danny.

Incidentally, a lot of Pools fans know this already - but none of us on the Bunker it seems...

Team news ain't great. Benn and Eccleston will both be missing. Benn is having an operation for a persistent problem and Eccleston has a sore back.

So, no right wing back available along with only one recognised centre half! I guess Sheron or Campbell Darcy will fill in on the right? Charlie Thornton is OK after being taken off for suspected concussion.

The two Maxes (Merrick and Kouogun) and Gibson might be back around the middle of October, but Hampson and McKeown won't be on the pitch before Xmas.

Did Eccleston get a sore back from picking up all those red cards?

just what happened to mckeown because he just went off at h/t in a game and has never been seen since. possibly hampson was only a figure in clark,s imagination and does not actually exist ot at best his imaginary friend.

Charlie Penman is a recognized centre half. Never seen him play but he was signed as a first team player.

He played the second half against Worthing a couple of weeks ago and looked ok, but hasn't made the squad for the last 2 games. Not exactly a vote of confidence from Clayton and Liddle, but every player gets a fresh start with Wild and Conlon.

True. He got worse and worse the longer the game went on. Another of Bromby's/Beech's kids who is nowhere near ready for men's football - even in the fifth tier.

If Kougan isn’t back next week I’d even start Darcy over him. That’s probably the first time I’ve seen him play but that was enough for me to make up my mind that he’s 1 million % better than Penman.

we always seem to have one like this every single season paying somebody for nothing. wasn,t he injured when we signed him. if so then its yet another cock up in the long list of them.
