With an increased number voting for him on a smaller turnout than 2024. How will he try to spin this?

I’ll let you all have your day bearing in mind Farage didn’t even have the bottle to turn up at the count citing a warning from the Police which turns out they didn’t issue one, what about the £5 million he got for his security ?

But the police were aware that "organised protest" was likely to occur at the result announcement? Bearing in mind Ann Widdicome's murder and a recent arson attack on Farage home being linked to her murder maybe best being safe eh? At the end of the day it doesn't alter the fact that more people voted for him yesterday than in 2024.
Let's see what the investigation into donations brings rather than speculating eh?
Btw aren't the same Parliamentary Committee looking into potential donations by criminals to Streeting, and the fact that he was taking donations from medical and drug companies whilst Health Secretary? Again let's see what the investigation reveals - I don't suppose you'll be as quick to condemn Streeting as you are Farage?

lets face it all of them are getting something for nowt somewhere down the line even if its just a free nosebag everytime they go somewhere. the ones who would worry me are the ones pushing for enquiries as it keeps the eyes away from them.

cannot see anything here. its not as if he refused to have a press conference at the outset to answer the same old stale questions he,ll be asked. suppose its some dastardly plan he has worked out weeks ago. he,s not the top of my list of politicians even if i do support the policies of reform regarding illegals.

In fairness the "tolerant left" does have a habit of "silencing" their political opponents. You'd think it would be the right-wing nazis that would commit all the acts of violence.

that could be due to the age groups of there more militant supporters. apart from the real nazi type of far right the left are now the party of the university goers and other youngsters who love the theory surrounding the left. then many grow up once they have to live with lifes problems that are closer to home.

Farage said his house was fire bombed, he never reported it to the Police another one of his fantasies.
More people voted for him well just over a 1000, the majority of Clacton residents didn’t bother to vote, the turnout was 14% lower than in 2024, shows how much they cared about the establishment and giving Farage a vote of confidence ?
He has now been asked why he didn’t want to attend the result, it was because he would have felt humiliated and embarrassed stood next to the other candidates. He lied about a threat, the Police never contacted Reform not to turn up for the result. The last MP not be at a result was in 1981 when a member of the IRA was elected, he couldn’t attended because he was in jail.
Whilst the amount Streetin received it doesn’t make it right but it pales into significance of Farages donations.
Nigel Farage reached the European Union's retirement age of 63 in April 2027 (having been born on April 3, 1964), making him officially to begin drawing his taxpayer-funded EU pension of roughly £73,000 a year, considering he was always ante EU he has done well from it and the U.K. are now paying his pension.

Gets re-elected
Immediately leaves Clacton
Lies about the police telling him to stay away from the count
Straight back under investigation for his dodgy dealings.

Costing the country £300k for his own vanity, he manages to beat a bin. Yet people think he’s the messiah, utterly bizarre.

Snowy you are somehow iconvinced I am whole heartedly disappointed Farage was re elected, do you think I am so naive to think he wouldn’t be. It would have been more convincing if over 9000 hadn’t voted for binface and as I previously mentioned the majority of the electorate didn’t bother to vote which did please me meaning they didn’t give him the vote of confidence he was hoping to receive.

Hey don’t go upsetting the Reform voters on The Bunker by telling them the truth, KPG, Sussex, PTID and Snowy.
Wait a few minutes and one of them will bring Labour into the topic, my bet is PTID will be first to comment.

i,ll beat him to it. for me farage is no different to those he criticises the career politician in westminster. however he is a messiah to many as he was one of the first and the biggest name to bring illiegal immigration via dinghy to light and would we have known about it as quickly or at all if the rest could have got away with it. prefer another leader myself but at least his work on the illegals initially has my utmost thanks.

Jamie for the umpteenth time I'm not a Reform supporter, I'm the floating voter that assesses candidates, parties, and manifestos before deciding who to vote for. I've voted Labour Tory, and Lib Dem (once) in the past. Unlike you who would vote for anyone representing Labour, probably because your parents and grandparents did? It appears that considering any other party candidate is a given for you.
Farage got more votes from a smaller turnout so that means his support has obviously grown.
It was reported this morning that the police were expecting "organised protest" at the announcement of the result.
It also seems to me that if Streeting is guilty of taking donations from dodgy donors then It's ok because it's not as much as nasty Nigel - what is your limit to acceptable financial activity for politicians? Is that limit the same regardless of party or can Labour be a bit dodgy but not the others?
I'd advise against Snowy's advice to lie in a darkened room - the Bogey Man's coming Jamie.

The cost of this sham election pales into insignificance when weighed against the estimated £5m that Burnhams sham election in Makerfield cost btw. That's mine and your money, not theirs.

And how much exactly did Handy Andy’s ‘Coronation ‘ cost the taxpayer because the Labour Party couldn’t find a single candidate out of 400+ MP’s to replace the toolmakers apprentice….not so much ‘bizarre’ in his case, more sad.,……as the Manchester. ’Manchurian Candidate’ enters the fray.

Not a Labour fan either, so I don’t disagree that also should have been unnecessary, but at least that one served a purpose in changing the person elected.

I'd advise against Snowy's advice to lie in a darkened room - the Bogey Man's coming Jamie.

Streeting declared all of his donations, so they were received legally. Whether it was from a dodgy source and whether he was expected to do anything in return are the questions he needs to answer. If the answer to either question is yes, he will be face the consequences, and they will need to review how a dodgy donor managed to get through the checks.

Farage didn’t declare the millions he received, so he appears to be trying to hide it, and the sources, for some reason, that is a huge difference, and a much more serious offence.

In terms of the limit, it’s common sense that the more that someone receives in donations, the more likely that they would have undue influence over their actions. The amount that Streeting is being questioned about is the equivalent of 3 months of his salary as Government Minister. The amount that Farage is being investigated over is more than he would earn in 50 years as an MP. Are you more likely to do something that would risk your job, and potential prosecution for a 25% bonus, or for more money than you could earn in your entire working career?

There's dodgy and more dodgy, neither are required traits of an MP imo. Wether it's Starmer not declaring his Taylor Swift tickets or Farage accepting large sums of cash doesn't matter when they expect to be trusted by the nation. I only broke the rules a little bit doesn't wash with our supposedly honourable leadership as far as I'm concerned.
Farage says the donations were private gifts so it wasn't within the rules for him to declare them, in willing to see what the Parliamentary investigation reveals, some have already declared him guilty.
Streeting didn't just take donations from dodgy donors allegedly, again at this stage allegedly he took lots of donations (reportedly around £0.5m) from pharmaceutical companies and other medical supplies companies when he was Health Secretary.
Let's not forget we've currently got a Minister who "forgot" to pay the right amount of stamp duty, and one who's a convicted fraudster recently re-appointed to their Ministerial positions by Burnham. Doesn't look good does it?

If Streeting didn’t declare something that he should have, then he should be investigated too, I agree, no double standards.

If the £5m to Farage was a gift, then it’s still within the rules that it must be declared. But let’s see what the investigation concludes.

Rayner was cleared of any wrongdoing about the stamp duty and HMRC agreed that she correctly followed legal advice, but that advice was incorrect, so the lawyer was at fault. So she still owed the difference, which she paid.

The Louise Haigh thing was her reporting a work mobile phone lost, later finding it and not immediately telling her employer. Hardly the crime of a century, but I agree it doesn’t reflect well.

But this is exactly the type of false equivalence that people like Farage and Trump use to try and deflect and justify their dodgy dealings, immediately pivoting to “what about that guy, or that guy”, and claiming that everyone is at it, so the standards are lowered and they can get away with more.

Except Farage hasn't been found guilty of anything has he? If it was a personal gift rather than a politically motivated one it didn't need to be declared.
Streeting declared donations, but the donations allegedly came from criminals. The pharma and health company donations are surely a conflict of interest issue, or out and out bribes to a Health Secretary but let's see what comes out in the wash.
It seems that it's OK nowadays for MPs to avoid taxes, or break the law (Reeves house rental), and as long as they say sorry and pay up when they're caught it's OK.

Exempt gifts: Purely personal gifts from partners, close family, or friends that have no link to political life or status do not need registration.
MPs must also register registrable benefits or significant financial support received in the 12 months before winning a seat.
Parliamentary guidelines state that if anyone could reasonably think a gift relates to political activities or if doubt exists, it must be registered.

Farage has claimed the money was his own personal security needed because he receives threats due to his role as a politician.
Then he changed his mind and it was a reward for delivering Brexit.

Both of these have links to political life and status. Both are significant financial support that was received in the 12 months prior to becoming an MP. The second is directly relating to political activities.

We will see what the outcome of the investigation is, but based on the above, it’s not looking good.

Reeves didn’t apply for a specific £925 rental license when she first rented out her house. When she was told, she got the license. The cost of the license was around the equivalent of 1 weeks rent. An error, not corruption.

Again comparing an error to someone being given the equivalent of 50 years salary for a reason that he’s struggling to explain. It’s like saying it’s ok for one person to (allegedly) rob a bank because someone else got a parking ticket, so they are both equally as bad.

If he is cleared then that’s fine, he’s done no wrong, but based on the rules, and the reasons that he’s volunteered, then I would be very surprised.

But as if right now he's innocent?
Reeves rented her house out illegally for months having enquired about the necessity to hold a licence, so she knew it was needed, she blamed the rental agency but she was legally responsible not the agent and therefore breaking the law. The tenants were advised to claim back every penny of rent they'd paid due to her illegally renting the place out. But yes she said sorry so that's ok.
Raynor dodged Stamp Duty but she said sorry so that's ok.
Do you suppose you or I would have been let off if we said sorry?
Haugh is a convicted fraudster, maybe not big fraud but fraud nonetheless, she lied for her own gain.
Didn't Burnham bring Reynold's back too - the solicitor who never qualified as a solicitor?
So Labour wanted to replace Starmer but within 400 odd sitting MPs they couldn't find anyone suitable, so a by election was arranged at a cost of around £350k to the general public and a £5m bill for a Mayoral election. Burnham immediately brought in a veritable rogues gallery of ministers as above.
I guess the swamp is still the swamp. I'm not sure how they can claim any moral high ground?

Hey don’t go upsetting the Reform voters on The Bunker by telling them the truth, KPG, Sussex, PTID and Snowy.
Wait a few minutes and one of them will bring Labour into the topic, my bet is PTID will be first to comment.

You don’t upset anyone Jamie, don’t flatter yourself…..that anyone even cares…..just stumble on with your stand act up in the old Thai cabaret and working men’s circuit with your comedy act……or maybe not.

I was referring to McTee, my comedy keeps you going, admit it Snowy you would be lost without me.

Why are you always defending Reform if you don’t support them then or it’s case of oh Jamie’s posted I will have a dig at him ?

The cost of this sham election pales into insignificance when weighed against the estimated £5m that Burnhams sham election in Makerfield cost btw. That's mine and your money, not theirs.

Dear me get your facts right PTID the Makerfield by-election cost £226000 similar to the sham Clacton one, your defending Reform again PTID ?

Or by watching GB News and reading The Mail or The Express.

After Farage saying he didn’t to turn up at the count because he didn’t want to be demeaned and humiliated by nobodies, who are the nobodies and there was a security threat they said was issued by the Police, Essex Police deny issuing any such statement just anther Reform lie.
Go back to Thatcher yes she wasn’t my favourite person but she never bottled public appearances, weeks after Airey Neave was murdered by the IRA she was at the results night of the by-election in Finchley. She probably had more death threats than any other politician including an attempt on her life in Brighton.

if he had turned up at the count he,d have been accused of milking the situation if a smile had crossed his face. good chance that 5 million is true, but he is only following those from the distant past to the present who have recieved money, gifts and their name on a letterhead in the hope they will serve the ends of somebody.

What's more shocking than Farage not turning up for the results announcement is the fact that neither Labour nor the Tory's attempted to oust him by standing a candidate.

Times really are hard when a committed socialist investor turns to Margaret Thatcher as a positive example……

I did say she was not my favourite person Snowy, she is an example of a real politician, not frightened to put herself in the firing line not like Farage who didn’t have the courage to face the media ran away basically. I doubt we will see Farage giving an open interview to the MSM before the party conference in September, you got your ticket Snowy because tou are a member you get discount.

You ever read up why they never fielded anyone, then again you won’t hear that on GB News or in the right wing media newspapers. Maybe there was a possibility there could have been tactical voting like the Gorton and Denton, Farage wouldn’t have been elected and wouldn’t have faced parliamentary scrutiny ?
