Would be an excellent addition. Can't understand why Scunny are dithering unless there's something putting them off which hasn't been revealed yet.

like not knowing which league they will be playing in next season. if we did go up there will be players who might not cut it in league football but are adequate for another season at our present level.

I'd sign him- think he'd be a quality addition.
Think he'd snap our hands off- closer to home and played with Kougan last season.
Exactly the type we need in- they can have Johnson, it's Win Win!

isn,t he still under contract with them till the end of the season and he is talking about a future contract. or have i read it wrong and he has not got any contract at the moment. if its the latter then i agree we should snap him up. kkep johnson as they have not done us any real harm that i can remember.

Knowing our luck, Johnson will rediscover his scoring talent for them….

Interesting that Scunthorpe don't have a head of recruitment like ourselves:

Harness confirmed that the previously advertised Head of Recruitment role is currently “dead in the water,” as she doesn’t believe the club can justify a full-time salary for the position in the National League. However, she admitted that “if we move up,” the club may revisit the role in the future. For now, she is very happy with the scouting being done by Andy Butler and John Schofield and believes summer recruitment has been excellent.

I'm sure Fevs said there's scope to bring in anutha 2 players if they are improvements.
Imagine the transfer fee will be minimal due to almost being out of contract.

Or is there better league 1/2 players available in the same boat.

A new Ownership statement of intent.

I suspect the situation with Roberts may not be as straightforward as it may appear.

how the hell did they get promoted last season and in the play offs this one without a job for the boys being paid for. next thing they,ll be saying they have not got a goalkeeping coach. any other pointless positions they have not got and we have. just imagine all the contacts in the game butler and schofield have. even fevs has hull contacts.

I posted this link before, Pools have 22 non playing staff nearly more than players,

guess that 22 are just the tip of a large iceberg especially on match days and that does not count stewards or those operating the gates. pools could however be one of the smallest employers of off the field staff in full time pro football in what over the years has become a growth industry. i have heard 250 mentioned at some NW league club.
