The Poolie Bunker

Don't even get me started

http://www.positiveatheism.org/index.shtml

Why? what he said was taken out of context but don't let that get in your way.

By the way, of you said that about the prophet mohammed you'd be in danger of being beheaded.

Yes, because you wind me up, take out all religions and religiously enforced geographical boundaries and tell me of a war/conflict/crisis that would remain?

The temple's of false worship and no longer filled, the numbers decrease all the time, anti theism is on the increase and hopefully we will prevail. mwah ha ha

Irrespective of your religeous beliefs, to get to the position of Pope you have to have an incredibly good knowledge of theology. He will know the Koran inside out along with every other religeous handbood like the bible etc.

Whatever he said, his words hold some gravity because he speaks with some authority. As for the Nazi jibe, one of the first things he did was to visit Auscwitz and pray for the dead there. If that wasn't symbolic I don't know what is.

can ya fook, have you hounded any catholics out of town? Have you flashed your meat 2 veg to any hamish/jew/mormon mothafocker whilst reading from the good book of Karma Sutra? have you slapped a muslim in the face with a large gammon steak? HAVE YOU? You can't just get in because 'I don't believe in religion me!", there needs to be real hate there, although I sense the force is strong in this one.

Jeez he must be some size if you are going to be Mini Me

Yes, he's shaping up to be a nice replacement for Pope Pius during the war.

Plus he was in the Hitler Youth. Little bastard. "Conscientious objector", but the Catholics were pretty pro-Nazi in the early days anyway, Concordat and all. Etc etc, History student here so ignore me if I dump a turd on the Church here and there.

Lots of kids were in the Hitler Youth, many viewed it like the boy scouts, doesn't make them dyed in the wool Nazi's does it?

Not struck on this Pope AT ALL, bit of a non event really, but I think the present furore is more misunderstanding & ill chosen words than racism

But I have a right to believe if I want & get sick of reading the anti religion rants of some - so change the fucking record

So's my family, but I'm not. My one note of possible disharmony in the wonderful world of the Billingham Poolies. :|

i am too and we all know when Mr Dibble is on a wind up

My Dad is a Catholic,My mother is a Protestant,i was christened a Catholic but soon realised at the age of 6 after a few trips to church with my nana and grandad(on my dads side) that i had my own opinions on life...and stopped going.

smokes dope

And I'm a Catholic Roman!!!! :sweet:

Seriously though, think about what you've just said...if you said it in one society nothing would happen apart from a severe tutting at the worst..but would you even think about doing it in another..?

hanged from the yard arm no mistake

Of course he does, that's why there is so much sin, imagine if you didn't get forgiven anything, if you had to suffer the consequences of every action, life would be so much better.

Oh and I am an eye for an eye kind of guy too

Didn't when they joined maybe but it did when they left. Most of them went on to the SS.

And they really were the backbone of Nazi-ism.

But that's true of all totalitarian regimes. If you aren't with them you're deemed to be against them.

Guess which world leader said that last??

Yeah....George Bush.
