I've just skimmed through the bits about his 2nd time at Pools, its a good read and I thought I couldn't hate Monkey Boy Peter Reid anymore then I did

I've read it too. It's a good read. Houchen tells a good tale (or at least the author does). I still think he would have made a good manager, but he had no funds.

Houchen had suggested the manner in which Reid was trying to poach Halliday 'stunk'

A short while later, Houch and Hornsey got a phone call from the bin dipper and the exact words of the book are

'The torrent of 'fooking' that followed was so gross and sustained that Houchen held the receiver up to the the astonished chairmans ear


Then it was followed by Peter Reid backing out of the the agreed £375000 price tag for Halliday, but he only did this outside on the steps before fooking off in his car
