When Harris is only getting 1 chance a game, I'd have to disagree that we're creating enough chances from CM or wide, or him and Popov are not getting on the end of things.
Miley could easily be the box to box midfielder in the mould of Tommy Miller or Sweeney if played in that role, but again we'd need 5 across the middle so it would have to be a back 3 or a lone striker, and if course the other 2 CMs cannot be Hunter and Sheron in the same team.
If Nolan and McKeown are fit to start I'd go for the same starting 11 but Nolan for Popov.

Courtesy of our opponents again!!!

After re watching that brutal miss from Nolan.

But bigger issue.
Why does our keeper just watch it go in.
Sticks his hand out it's a save.
The gap from him to the post is a few inches thicker than a football.

Should of at least Tryed.

Probably get someone say he didn't see it.

Nolan may not be up to starting, he only played a few minutes on Friday after his return from injury. When fit he is always goingto be a nailed on starter but is he back to 100% yet?

This.
I watch the league highlights & everyone is going on about Matt Rush at Borehamwood, well his
midfield create chance after chance for him.
He scores a couple a game, but misses twice as many.

We can't play 442 with an attacking CM and 2 wide attacking players imo.
Lack of chances isn't simply a CM problem, where's the quality from the wings and why is there nobody on the end of balls into the box?
I think we need to try a 352, yes we might concede more but the extra man in midfield should give us more of an attacking option and hopefully we'll outscore more times than not.
What did Nolan and Harris get between them last season, about 60 goals? We're giving the forwards nothing but scraps to feed on.

Ilunga has been credited with 2 assists so far this season, McKeown has 2 goals and Nolan 1 goal, all playing out wide - so quality from the wings isn't the issue.

Dead ball delivery, on the other hand, has been mostly hopeless.

Will Harris (22) and Jack Nolan (18) scored 40 between them last season. Each of them had a good chance that they didn't put away on Saturday but they'll both score plenty as long as the fans don't get on their backs. Regan Linney has been a goal machine for the last 3 seasons for Altrincham and Carlisle but he's only scored 1 so far this season too. It's early days.

3-5-2 definitely the way to go tomorrow. I'd like to see Bondi get a chance to start rather than Popov.

having somebody capable of playing a through ball to strikers on the move would be a big change. at the moment its always going to the wings with even crossfield balls from wing to wing that only work half the time as the other half sees em going out of play. big hairy arsed defenders in this league love all that heading the ball away in 50/50 challengers.

going by what clark said he might not be the only one missing. going to assess the squad to see who is still not tired after friday and playing a second half with 10 men. lets say its a good excuse to make changes he might not have made if we had won and not lost the last 2.
