What's this thing about Meatloaf being a Pools fan? What's the reason for this? Did he ever turn up? Stay over?

The Unlikely Fan ConnectionThe Choice: When asked to support a famous Premier League team on TV, Meat Loaf picked Hartlepool United because their story was unique and funny. The Toy: He proudly carried the H'Angus cuddly toy onto shows like football AM and Channel 4's The Graham Norton Show. The Support: He even called the team's manager to encourage him and looked at buying a local home.

Yes Jamie he has passed away now but why be so negative when at the time it was a bit of great publicity for the club. I remember Jeff Stelling presenting him with a Hangus doll.

Nothing negative about my comment just keeping posters upto date in case they were hoping for him to drop into The Vic for first game of the season.
