Great to see they were well and truly put in their place last night by Belgium.

As we used to say in the playground - Cheat, cheat never beat.

for the game itself it was the best result there could have been. A yank win with that player scoring the winner could have had bigger and wider consequences.

I listened to some fan interviews with the yanks. They really believed that the US winning the world cup was a foregone conclusion and were shocked that they were out.

think some england fans and the madia also think that every tournament. they did better than proper football nations like italy and poland who never qualified for it. they are still the best football playing nation as the rest play association football.

Don’t even know what the fuss was about, the Belgians were never gonna lose to the yanks….ot it might even have spurred them on s bit as it apparently did.

Trump's intervention backfired big time! from what I've read it galvanised the Belgiums and put a cloud over the Americans, especially the player involved.

It was a big World Cup moment and highly enjoyable.
