more bodies we get in the opposition box makes it easier for the others to find a player in it. last season there was no margins for error with that loan striker being there and sometimes another busting there gut to try and join them. obviously we,ll not win them all but the wins might be more exciting and more of them.

I have never been in agreement with that tactic with centre backs racing up the field to get in the box then back again if the opposition break out with pace. I have said many times, pacy player on halfway line another out wide draws 3 opponents defenders back.

surely that only comes into question on corners where teams get everyone back to defend even if the players themselves struggle to do that. anyone who for any reason cannot defend should be upfield bringing the equal number plus 1 defnders back with them.
