One of Charlton's greatest managers, was our manager in the old first division & led us to a few 'great escapes', there are few football people who know more about the game than Lennie, he may be the the best appointment 'Pools' have made for a long while.

Stevenage's ground is opposite the ROARING MEG retail park - MYSTIC MEG says 1-1

Does this mean Raj's trigger finger is getting itchy and Curles days are numbered?

I think that at the clubs Lawrence has turned up in this role it appears to have worked out, his role appears as more of a listener for the manager to bounce ideas off.

From Curle's pre-match interview it sounds as if the trigger was for Bevington, or whatever he is called

On Sunday, April 26th, the Charlton Athletic Ex-Players' Association will be hosting the 'Lennie Lawrence Dinner' to pay tribute to a true icon.

The Addicks legend, who managed the club between 1982 and 1991, will take part in an exclusive hour-long Q&A hosted by familiar faces from the club, and will be joined by fellow club legend Alan Curbishley alongside other notable names.

Players from Lawrence's unforgettable 1985/86 promotion-winning side, his 1987 Full Members Cup final team and the iconic 1986/87 play-off-winning squad will reunite as VIP guests.

Guests will enjoy a two-course dinner and a live Charlton-themed auction during what promises to be a truly memorable evening.

In recognition of Lawrence's outstanding services to the club, the evening will feature a special tribute in his honour. From next season, one of the club's lounges will be re-named the Lennie Lawrence Lounge.

To be fair, anyone turning up over the past few years seems to quickly go down the plug hole.
