2-0 my only concern is the floodlight issue, Carlisle will probably try and get the game stopped/replayed.

it was still brighter than many of those traditional non league grounds are. worst two i have officiated at were wroxham and guiseley. the latter was lik a backdrop to a black and white sherlock holmes fillum.

Being the ever pessimist has no one noticed Southend have got 3 games in hand, at the moment our FG game is irrelevant as it’s the last home game, a few must games before that fixture.

Southend have lost three of their last five games Jamie…it’s the consistent team who’ll gets that last place..

I mentioned the potential influence of Lidds after the Solihull game. I think that since his arse appeared in the dugout it is no co incidence that we have scored seven goals. In fact the chances we have created in these two games, against higher than average teams, is extremely noticeable and very welcome. The two games in which Lidds has been involved has produced two performances that are un recognisable to those which Aldershot and Woking faced a short time ago. There is obvious improvement and I believe Lidds is playing a big part in that improvement.

I'm sure Lidds is a great character to have around the place and is contributing plenty.

That said, let's not forget he was a defender by trade and didn't pull up any trees managing at Whitby - they finished 16th out of 22 last season in the Northern Prem.
Wanting to give him most of the credit for the fact that Pools are finally scoring goals in consecutive games is a bit over the top.

Does anyone know if that bloke from Sunderland Elliot Dickman has gone or is he still part of the coaching staff?

Just about everybody has urged Fevs to widen his horizons. He stated that he needed help. I think Lidds is giving him that help and not many will argue that last night's performance was not a revelation. Time will tell whether the vast improvement lasts.
Coaches and managers come from all kinds of playing backgrounds and I wouldn't take much notice that Lidds was a defender. The only Englishman to guide England to victory in the World cup was a full back .
Being manager at Whitby is a bit different to his job at Pools. Different roles I'm sure you will agree.
Opinions as usual.
My outlook and hopes have brightened somewhat that's for sure. Light years away from the Aldershot debacle.
Not sure about Dickman's whereabouts.

doubt them and there fans fancy whats getting close for them to be 2 games a week till the end of the season. then do not forget the vegans in freefall. its just we need to carry on in the form of the last 3 games and see where it takes us. somehow i have a feeling there will be a sell out of the away end at boston.
