even better if we start to hear the thoughts of Landon when he more or less promised better communication. since he came to a dew days the silence id deafening unless its taken these weeks for him to recover watching the team.

Sir Jeff and Savannah appointed roles at the club, Tommy Miller back (or is he?) Poolies returning to the nest, Landon on the scene. I referenced this earlier primarily in jest - but Spike Lee becoming available - and Ian Clark too - Poolies Assemble?

Priority should be getting a striker in over the close season who can bang in 30 goals plus!
And getting in players who can create chances for him!

Given Pools previous with high scoring strikers a 30+ goal forward would soon be either snapped up by a bigger fish or crocked for half of the season (or more). I would rather see us recruit a pair of decent 15-20 goals per season strikers backed up by a couple of quality, goalscoring midfielders who can also open up defences and create chances for both themselves and the strikers. We' also need a quality keeper, Hayes is adequate as a back up but IMO should not be a shoe-in for first choice.

Read earlier that Jeff is raking a break from his hosting duties on Talk Sport breakfast, for the time being.

I reckon with Landon in town this week- him and Jeff are going to start wielding the axe behind the scenes and sorting out who runs the club on a day to day basis, in Landon's absence.

(Jeff if you're reading this) I think Russ Green as CEO and Simmo back as Media Mogul would be the first two I'd bring home followed by Gordon Watson as Bus Driver/ forward coach!

This side of the club tends to be the forgotten area and in the shadows to most fans, but are vital to the successful running of any club……this has been our weak spot for quite a few years…we need to get this sorted out asap.

TBH I can see why Southend let him leave now. For a big bloke he doesn't command his area for set pieces - stuck on his goal line like Ben Killip. Decent shot stopper - apart from a tendency to spill some shots right in front of him. And his antics before the last 3 penalties were a bit of a joke - no point in trying to put the pen taker off if you dive the wrong way!

Spilling shots is a common fault in football nowadays at all levels, pushing it out towards the onrushing attackers, are those massive gloves they wear the problem, years ago keepers very rarely wore gloves. A keeper should for me not be trying to guess which way the ball is going at a penalty as some times it goes straight down the middle.There was one the other week, the taker thought he could fool the keeper into diving, he didn’t, then he tried to pass it into the middle of the goal, the keeper just bent down and collected the ball.
TBH at the level Pools play you are never going get the ‘perfect” keeper, there is always a ‘mistake’ in them.

not just at our level i,s say even at the top of the game. so much for the job of goalkeeping coach. i,m sure they were better before that position was created.
