Not a brilliant night, Dale score in the 94th minute to scrape a win, Forest Green drop a couple of points and York paste Carlisle.

Seriously, these results are no concern of ours.

The Halifax one maybe, the rest are indeed irrelevant to us - good to see York shaft the Shaggers at home - they were unlucky not to go up last season. Hopefully the obnoxious Shaggers will blow it, especially if we beat them at the Vic shortly.

Forest Green have taken 6 points out of the last 15 available, keep that up and they could slip up .

York are looking pretty good for the automatic spot but because Rochdale have numerous games in hand the top two or three are hard to predict at this stage. York are mostly hammering whoever they play whereas Rochdale are doing one and two nils. I think York have spent the dosh and assembled a pretty formidable team. If I was a betting man I'd have York finishing as champions with Carlisle runners up and Dale third. Dunno about the rest but Southend will be among them.

The thing is, while it looks highly unlikely we will sneak into the play offs the results of the top eight are irrelevant to us, it is also neither here nor there if we finish above or below Halifax because ninth or tenth position is of no consequence.

just lets sign a few decent lads with next season in mind to finish the season strongly either inside or outside the play offs. fans then will really see what the owner is about especially for season ticket sales.

The players available ATM are generally ones who are struggling with their current team, it's obvious we are going to have to wait till preseason to be able to attract the better players available. Which therefore bodes the question why aren't we going for it in every game?, we have nothing to lose, we aren't going to be relegated so why aren't we setting up for an attack minded formation for every game, it makes no sense to be defensive

Yes we should be building momentum now with a virus to continuous improvement next season, not accepting lazy, dull, defensive performances which don't achieve anything other than reduced attendances.

top 7 is still a realistic target and not a load of pie in the sky. i,d guess a good number of present efl players would join us today if we matched their wages and improved the contracts they have already. are we still trying to do things on the cheap and not copying others who have bought there way out of this league. some of their money was wasted but they did what we want and increased the gates and season ticket numbers along the way. ok we have signed 2 but we are no stronger in numbers of the squad as of today.
