Still think Mike Williamson would be a better option based on what he did for Gateshead, punched way obi e their weight and played a decent brand of football.

Darrell 'Trigger' Clarke would be my preferred choice as and when the time arrives.

Currently available, bags of experience with success in NL, Lg 1 & Lg 2. Pools joint record signing and I believe his daughter still lives in the town. Don't think he'd take too much persuasion, now the Rajanator has sailed off into the sunset!

sorry do not want williamson ball around the vic. prefer a long ball merchant with two big lads up front who are mobile with other big lads across the team. that way we might see more of the play in the opposition half and not go for a piss before it gets there.

He did well at Gateshead, If you like your team to play out from the back he is your man.

He worked wonders in the transfer market and loanees, and although they played out from the back they scored plenty of goals. There's playing out from the back and playing across the back, we all know which Fev prefers.

What I'm seeing here is, there are actually a bunch of good options for once... Get Feaths back in a coaching role and get a proper manager in Landon

Nothing against Williamson but the Gateshead formula wasn't his. It operated under many managers. They had an excellent recruitment system in obtaining released players from Premiership and League clubs, or getting players in on loan usually from Championship and below. Whether the players were good when they got them or they fitted perfectly into their attacking methods is hard to know.

The difference between them and ourselves was the development. They had a lot of young players who where regularly sold up the leagues in a short space of time. THat would suggest that what is needed from Gateshead is the organiser of their recruitment and development system.

This season they are a little strapped for cash but still had one or two decent players - Adom has moved to Burton and Hurst who was on loan is now at Scunny.

when gateshead were riding high we said the main thing between us and them was scouting, recruitment and development. we also find decent young players but somehow most never improve with us or go backwards.
