Anyone know how to get the advertised Poolie Podcast to play? The Mail says the content is about the Woking defeat and George Evans leaving but when I get iy to play it is just a long monologue from Stelling aboyt the new owners. Am I doing something wrong or is the Mail just being rubbish?

Type in Poolie Podcast to whichever place you get your podcasts from- think I use castbox app, then download it from there.

Thanks for the reply, Mr Kettering. I dont usually listen to podcasts so I dont have a podcast app. I was hoping to simply follow the link in the online Mail page but it just plays an old podcast. Was interested in what young Stelling had to say about the Woking fiasco. Oh well..............

The online link on the Mail, can be a bit hit and miss- or sometimes it plays without sound.
I listened to it on the podcast, in the car on the way home.

They were talking about players we need to sign- namely a goalkeeper- mentioned Cartwright as he had been linked with a loan at Harrogate but they've since loaned a young lad from Ipswich- so potentially we might see his return. Also said about the need for maybe a couple of left sided defenders- with John suspended for 3 games and Topalaj going back to Bromley.

They spoke about the Woking debacle- Fev's post match- how we need an identity in terms of playing style and Landon's attendance at the next two home games. Plus all the work that needs to be done by him to galvanise the club going forward. They also talked about investment in players and how Barnet managed to win what was a very average league last season, without spending ridiculous amounts of money. Think that just about covers it!

Thanks for the summary, Mr K. I was wondering if Stelling had any theories of why we were so utterly fecking abject against Woking. Were Woking man for man a better team than us full stop? Was it about tactics and organisation? Were the players not playing for Feaths? I appreciate tjat sometimes players have off days but it is odd it was the entire fecking team. As I say wonderd what Stelling's view was.
