There have been a good few.
One who always springs to mind when i am in the Burbank area is Ben Skully the scrap man whos call was "rag bone" while on his horse and cart. Can anyone remember him or is it a figment of my imagination.
Is there any others people can remember?

Wild goose was scarey…..I remember going to the school dentists in Elwick Road with my younger brother and the sounds in the ‘office’ were a bit off putting, he was getting scared so I grabbed him and we legged it.

The last time I went there I made the mistake of asking for a mullet (it was the 1980's). I did not get a mullet. I got a (very) short back and sides with three rats tails at the back. When I got home my mam got her scissors, went snip, snip, snip and my dreams of looking like Chris Waddle went out of the window.

Weren't there two Amerigo families, both operating different areas? I worked for one for a few months in 1976 - based out of a garage just off Murray Street - let's just say it was an interesting experience.....

Dead right Mr Bluestreak. WWClark must rank as one of Hartlepool’s legends. He gave generations of Hartlepool children an experience to remember when he established Carlton Camp.
