Welcome back BBC Radio Tees. I have just spoken to them and have been told they will be back at the Vic on Saturday broadcasting the game live on the internet fop all the exiles or those unable to get to the game. At last common sense prevails.

BBC Radio Tees are not banned, Its Rob Law.

I hope that ban has been reviewed and reversed also...

When I spoke to them they said that Pools v Altringham is on schedule for this Saturday. I suggest you ring them pre match tomorrow and ask for yourself and if it will be Rob Law. I heard the interview concerned and he did not say anything wrong about Pools or Raj. A bit like Robbie Stelling banned because of who his father is.

Not great if the matches are on a 4 day delay

I've been wondering if it's even legal to ban someone from a ground for expressing an opinion (regardless of whether it's right or wrong)?

It's not like anyone's said anything racist or threatening. It's just opinions about how the club's being run.

I miss the days when we had "the town's club" on our badge - I didn't much like the design of the badge at the time but do I miss the sentiment behind it.

A football club is a private club and they can let in whoever they like, you pay for the privilege of being allowed in.
If they think someone is being disruptive, either by word or deed, they are well within their rights to not allow them entry.

Been a few bans like that at Darlo especially under Reynolds.

in todays world getting banned for words seems more important than actions.

You can be banned from any premises, it’s at the owners discretion wether they let you in or not.

I think it's worse than banning someone for having an opinion. Wasn't Rob banned for interviewing someone about their opinion - not sure Rob has actually given a view. (As always, correct me if I'm wrong!)

Really pleased that they’re back doing the commentary.

It’s the only way a lot of people, either due to living away, ill health or cost, can still follow pools.

I’ve fond memories of spending Saturday afternoons with Brian Arrundale commentating when I couldn’t get to a game.

I hope it’s still Rob Law and equally that Tees backed him over this.

As others have mentioned, Radio Tees have been fantastic with their coverage and support of the club over the years.

I suppose that is true of individuals but not groups of people--assume if any club said they were banning all women or all people over a certain age that would be subject to legal challenge

We play Altrincham away tonight. Not at home Saturday. That is why Rob Law will be there providing commentary…

We are not playing Alty on Saturday.

They’d need a good excuse that couldn’t be challenged in court.
The situation with Law and Stelling Jnr is they have been involved in something the owner of the club has taken offence at so it’s his call if they are allowed in.
